Journalism is about objectivity, not neutrality. Neutral "journalism" is a canard.

Neutrality and objectivity are not the same. Objectivity is a slave to facts in pursuit of the truth. Neutrality is the art of presenting fact and fiction as equal.

Neutrality evelates lies. It's de facto bias.

He legit looks like something that should be in the box seats with Statler and Waldorf, only his criticisms are too weak to pass even Muppet muster.
Schumer: "Rubio I just heard in your interview said they're doing what's good for the American people. If they want to do what's good for the American people, it should not be some escapade in Venezuela. It should be focusing on lowering the cost of living that Americans are struggling with."

Even the rare elected Dems who directly criticize Trump never use the words "convicted rapist and convicted thief," even tho he is... lemme check the court records again... whattaya know, a convicted rapist and a convicted thief.

Democrats: "But, my dear, that's so distasteful. It's just not done."

An saying all that probably while wearing spats, a top hat, and a monocle... to the beach.
Republicans have done more with much smaller minorities than Democrats have done with clear majorities. Republicans get that you have to both use every tool available to obstruct, and you have to bang your shoe on the table and scream every day all day in a coordinated way. It's worked for decades.

Anyone collaborating with us to make illegal content using the tools we created to make illegal content will face the same consequences as they would if they did it alone.

We will also face the same consequences as if they did it alone: none.

A CIA team, steel doors and a fateful phone call: How the U.S. captured Maduro in Venezuela

President Donald Trump approved the strike before Christmas after months of planning, including troops training using a model of Maduro’s compound.

You know what looks weak? Anonymous quotes about how your party should get more on board with a fascist regime over murder and kidnapping in order to distract from their leader raping children. But maybe that's just me.
Some Democrats hate that their party is largely positioning itself in opposition to the operation that resulted in Maduro's capture.

"Everything Trump touches must be bad according to the base," one House Dem told @axios.com

Said another: "It looks weak." www.axios.com/2026/01/04/m...

Weird that people are "fixating" on what's happening in Venezuela
WELKER: Mr. Secretary, are you running Venezuela right now?

MARCO RUBIO: Yeah. People are fixating on that. Here's the bottom line -- we expect to see changes in Venezuela

The complete and utter non-reaction by the elected representatives of the Democratic Party as a whole is why I'm a doomer. To have no official overall position on whether murder, kidnapping, theft, and the rape of children are crimes means that they are now a-ok. That is nightmare fucking doom fuel.

Reporting on the illegal attack and kidnapping wasn't newsworthy to the Times, but reporting that Trump answeredthe phone and told then nothing is very very important.

Just more mass madness over at the holy goddamn New York Times.
From the perspective of reporting the news, it doesn’t strike me that there is a functional difference between a president who answers the phone at 4:30am in the morning but doesn’t answer a reporter’s questions, versus a president who doesn’t agreed to be interviewed.

the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches
