I like burritos, dislike fascism, and do digital at @indivisible.org. Opinions my own.
A real credit to conservative media that a president who spends nearly all his time talking about his ballroom, defending people in the Epstein files, and withholding public funds unless stuff gets named after him, still somehow polls at 33% on "cares about people like me."

"I never would have endorsed the guy who built his political career off rejecting the citizenship of the first Black president, if I knew he was a racist!"
Sen. Tim Scott, the only Black Republican in the Senate, had this to say:

We've all become desensitized to Trump scandals, but this is considerably worse than Bridgegate and would be an all-consuming news story for weeks if it were any other president.

pretty wild statement re: Republican Chris Madel drop from race for MN governor:

"Saying he cannot support the national GOP's 'stated retribution on citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so."

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

The NRA is condemning *progressive politicians* for Border Patrol's murder of a citizen legally recording federal agents while carrying a permitted firearm.

I do not just throw out praise for Senate Dem leadership, but this is good. It’s what we need now - Dems using their leverage where they’ve got it and refusing to budge. Make GOP own this lawless goon squad. No Dem votes for it. Support Dems who are fighting back now regardless of past beefs.
Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.

Alex Pretti was a nurse who tried to help a woman attacked by a federal officer. They killed him for it.

Stephen Miller doesn't lie to convince the public of anything. He lies to let his death squads know they can kill and beat people with impunity and their government will clap and cheer and always let them believe they're the good guys.
January 24, 2026 at 9:16 PM
There should be no future in the Democratic Party for any Member of Congress who votes to give more funding to these death squads.

This sudden flip to ‘we’re just here to find the sex offenders’ is gaslighting at the highest level, and that’s before we even get to the fact that, if that were their goal, they never needed to leave the White House in the first place.
Vance in MN: "It's really cold outside. We in the Trump administration want to deport criminal aliens who are sex offenders. It takes a certain level of committed to sex offender criminal aliens to stand outside in -40 temperatures and attack the vice president, but they're committed to the bit."

Cynically, DeLauro issued blistering statements against ICE, then negotiated the ICE funding deal, then personally voted against it, then celebrated with Republicans after passage. She's 82, represents Yale, and has a primary challenger.
