The monoculture is no longer in the usual places we're used to looking. I would say "A Minecraft Movie" is leaving a huuuge cultural footprint in the minds of the YouTube generation.
What 2020s movie has the greatest cultural footprint?

Note: This is not necessarily about box office, Oscars, critical acclaim, though all of those can count. It's more... pieces of it have so completely permeated our cultural groundwater that it will always be there.

What's interesting is they won't watch pop culture stuff, but they *will* watch a 5 hour stream of a guy pissing and moaning and selling weird online dick pills and tacticool prepper stuff about it.

They'll happily watch hours and hours a day for days, of a guy freaking out about it
Chuds and MAGA don't watch football. They don't watch sports. They get online to bitch about sports. And yes, there are sports fans who vote Trump. But MAGA doesn't watch sports. Trump and JD Vance are the last people would ever sit through a sporting event or watch one on TV by choice
I’ve got no problem with people boycotting the SB halftime show—I think the offense taken is nonsense, but if you’re offended, yeah boycotted it, cool—but I can’t deal with the insistence that the NFL is going to lose massive audience by showing the most popular entertainer in the world

"Futurama" is a significant piece of sci-fi, in that it depicts a comforting future where humans have discovered faster-than-light travel, sentient robots, and universal translation... and we're still the same petty assholes.
After numerous cancellations and revivals, Futurama has proven to be unkillable. Here's why the animated sci-fi comedy is weirdly comforting.

Watching "The Wrecking Crew," and finding the "second screen filmmaking" to be weirdly noticeable. There's a scene where Dave Bautista is getting exposition from a cop (Stephen Root), and he's wearing a full naval uniform with his name on it. There's no reason for him to be wearing his uniform...
