He contractually did not have ownership control of Watchmen, but he never got fucked out of the money for reprints or the adaptations. He has refused the adaptation money bc he's mad about the deal he made. That's his right, but it's weird. And he's not getting stiffed liked old timey creators do.

Kids today are missing out on a very good old joke

The WATCHMEN movie had a few unfortunate Snyder flourishes, but i thought the longer version of the movie was mostly excellent. And the from scratch opening credits were fan-damn-tastic. Very much in the spirit of, and on the level of, the book. And the Lindelof show was A+.

Tbf, Moore has trashed several good to excellent adaptations of his work sight unseen. Even when Dave Gibbons tried to appeal to him, Moore told him to fuck off (at least metaphorically, if not literally).

Otoh, I'm not interested in a V tv show either. I thought the movie covered it all vv well.
