1. In a major victory, Democrats have managed to get all anti-trans riders stripped from the final appropriations bills.

This includes HHS and Ed, which had the worst provisions in congressional history.

If it passes, it will be a big win for 2026.

Democrats Successfully Strip All Anti-Trans Riders From Final Appropriations Bills
The HHS and Education bills once contained the most sweeping anti-trans provisions in congressional history. Now they contain none.

Well, now I can't legally ride an e-bike in NJ.
There are so many disabled folks who use ebikes and trikes when we can't get driver's licenses. This is really crappy.

Get in loser, we’re RETVRNing to Sewer Socialism (and thank fuck for that—there are way too many badly run Dem urban govts that need to get their pro-stagnation political machines ripped up).
You probably don't know what SEQRA is - but you should know that it's slowing down the housing that we need. Deputy Mayor Leila Bozorg is here to explain why reforming it is key to cutting red tape and building more housing.

There is a third option but the McDonald's every day doesn't seem to be effective yet
Trump can put a million-percent tariffs on Denmark, and it still doesn't change the answer about Greenland. There are only two possible endings to this bizarre story. Either Trump gives up, or else he goes through with a military invasion.

Pro tip: you can search the ☭ emoji on here and just block or mute anyone with it in their profile or username. Really makes the discourse better by eliminating anyone who thinks the USSR was a well run country that should be emulated.

Begging, *begging* some of y'all to grasp that abolishing ICE is likely not going to be some glorious Hollywood moment where a single congressional act where it is dissolved and all the agents are pink-slipped, it's going to be a death by 1000 cuts: budget reallocations, hiring freezes, training...

This one alfalfa field uses more water every year than Google's worldwide data center operations, in case you've heard a lot lately about how much water AI uses.
For years, the water table has been dropping beneath thousands of acres of Arizona farmland where a Saudi dairy company has been allowed to pump unlimited amounts of groundwater to grow hay. Now, the state is finally imposing limits. www.latimes.com/environment/...
Arizona draws a line on groundwater use after letting Saudi-owned company pump freely for years
Arizona's governor says the state will start limiting groundwater pumping in an area where a Saudi farm grows hay and aquifer levels are dropping.

This is also the exact same logic that many on the left use towards those they derisively call liberals. Neither side of the coalition thinks the GOP has agency or can be blamed.
The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

New research confirms what many of us see: there's a large internal migration of LGBTQ people in the US, especially trans people, to friendlier states & cities.
Since 11/2024, 9% of all trans people have moved to another state, 43% have considered moving.
