The feared backlash from angry car drivers about the new bike lanes on North Harrison St in Princeton did not materialize at the Princeton Council meeting tonight. Instead, there was just me and two other bike advocates speaking in support of the new lanes.
Bike advocates in Princeton have put out an urgent message for supporters to come to the Council Meeting tonight (400 Witherspoon St or Zoom at 7 p.m)
A platoon of angry car-drivers are expected to speak out in protest at the newly-installed buffered bike lanes on North Harrison Street.

I am listening to Princeton Council's consultants talking about redevelopment of the old Westminster Choir College site, which the town bought for $50 million. If you want to get a sense of how well it's going, the consultant is currently discussing historic drainpipes.

Jersey people we need to make the wreck of the "SS Morro Castle" as big a deal as this played-out Edmund Fitzgerald job. Morro Castle clearly more dramatic. We just need to write a couple of sea shanties and name a decent craft beer after her.

Rad Power Bikes sends employees notice of ‘potential’ closure as efforts continue to ‘save Rad’
Read the full November 7 WARN letter (PDF). Seattle-based e-bike giant Rad Power Bikes has filed official notice to Washington State as well as the company's 64 Washington employees that the company could end operations "as early as January 2026." A November 7 Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification ("WARN") filed with the state (PDF) lists both service-level workers at the company's retail and repair shop as well as corporate workers at their Seattle headquarters, including top-level positions like CEO and CFO.

I give a massive 👏 to my US Rep, Bonnie Watson Coleman, for retiring now, while we all have maximum respect for her, and allowing a younger Democrat to step up. It is the right time.
Democratic Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who is the first Black woman to represent New Jersey in Congress, announces she won't seek reelection. Watson Coleman, who is 80, leaves behind a seat that, per calculations by The Downballot, favored Kamala Harris 61-37. www.the-downballot.com/p/the-downba...

Notable Jersey win here.
Massive contrast between Mikie Sherrill vociferously condemning the cave and Abigail Spanberger supporting it. Already thinking we got the better of the two NatSec moderate female governors.
Mikie also got an essentially identical margin against a much stronger opponent than Spanberger’s.

In 2024, problems with Amtrak's overheard wires caused a "summer of hell" on New Jersey's rail network. But although there were 415 train cancellations caused by Amtrak issues in July 2024, that number fell to just 17 in July 2025 after preventative maintenance was done.

Amtrak spent $27M in rail line improvements to avoid a hellish summer commute. Did it pay off?
It was a hefty pricetag, but officials said more work must be done.

I would support a @booker.senate.gov primary challenge at this stage. I kinda like him but he's no longer the right guy.
okay, so, with Dems successfully keeping anyone up in 2026 for voting for this turd let's take a look at who's up in 2026 anyway:
1. Cory Booker - apparently involved behind the scenes, constantly looking for bipartisanship. I don't dislike him personally but he doesn't have what we need. Primary.

Wow, just one week since I posted this! Maybe he read my post and that was it!
I fear that it might be a reference to Jim Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA, who is a major figure in molecular biology, but also, a complete and utter a$$hole, a racist and a misogynist. The kind of person that nothing should be named after.
