Making property owners pay a larger percentage in property tax on each subsequent house they buy would be rad.
I'm thinking of that guy who said he owned 15,000 properties. At purchase #100 you'd just pay the full value of the house in taxes every year.

Yes! The word “civility” traced back to the Latin cīvīlis — “of or pertaining to citizens”. As Sylvia Wynter explains, Western conceptions of civilized citizens - “Man” - denigrate everyone who is not white and male as an inferior, non/sub-human other. Civility is about maintaining this hierarchy.
I shouldn't be shocked, but I'm still always brought up short to realize how many people think "civility" means "white people speaking in relatively calm voices" no matter what vile shit they say.
