“JD Vance’s refusal to forcefully condemn the infamous Young Republicans group chat” illustrates “No Enemies to the Right” aka “NETTR” (a motto coined by Claremont Institute donor Charles Haywood), which has combined with the “technological revolution” to unfurl a “red carpet for…antisemites…” 1/

So I tried EMDR on one of cats today and I think it worked? Leo is terrified of the vacuum (his sister is not). So I approached him with the vacuum, put treats next to it. After he ate the treats, I used a wand toy to make his eyes move left and right. Later found him laying happily by the vacuum?!

Why can't "the left" build a viable third party while also taking over the Democrats? Do people not understand that "the right" is now composed of people who are playing traditional party politics, people planning and implementing coups and people who are trying to destroy democracy worldwide?
November 10, 2025 at 8:46 PM
Binary thinking is part of what got us in this mess. "You can *either* support the duopoly OR you can push for a third party" is yet ANOTHER needless dichotomy. You can walk and chew gum at the same time, or at least you should be able to, *especially* with fascism on the rise!

The country is on the precipice of oblivion. It's okay to think and organize beyond the two party system.
November 10, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Both/And. Let's move beyond the dead-end of imagining there's no viable alternative to the two-party system. This... thing is going down. How about we try everything all at once?
There’s a two party duopoly in this nation.

Is it great? No! Is it reality? Yes.

Creating a third party means building up an entirely new infrastructure from scratch and then fighting both R & D.

Taking over the Dem Party is an easier and more effective route. It’ll take time, but it’s worth it.

How do you think those 8 emerged and organized themselves without the complicity or abject failure of the party's leadership?!!!
November 10, 2025 at 8:28 PM
Quite a few people seem to imagine that political parties are collections of discrete individuals rather than groups with organizational dynamics, including the dynamic of "collectively caving to fascism".
I really don't understand why progressives are all amplifying that "the Democrats" caved. It was 8 Senators, it was not "the Democrats". You are all just hurting our chances in '26 blaming Democrats as some monolith. Trump would not be blaming "Republicans". He'd be calling for the heads of those 8.

And I've been doing politics for long enough to know clearly that the entire Senate Democratic caucus agreed to this decision to fold. Open your eyes. The 8 who "broke" did so with the complete blessing of Schumer and their colleagues. You don't have to play along because this is not a game. The end

Wildly guessing that same sex marriage was allowed was to stand (for now) because Peter Thiel (who installed the Vice President and is on the verge of taking over the country entirely) is married to a man.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!
