Any American watching this play out between regime forces and journalists overseas would recognize it for what it is.

The resolution requires ICE agents to obtain a warrant and meet with the tribe's public safety director before coming onto the Red Lake reservation, and it goes on to state that an ICE agent must also be accompanied by a tribal public safety officer when on tribal land.

One problem is that Democrats look at already passed funding as untouchable, while Republicans look at it as something to chip away at forever.
Case in point: the 2022 IRS surge funding in the Inflation Reduction Act.
TIL the House cut another $11 billion from that last week! And Dems voted for it!
ICE and CBP will still be funded through the BBB during a government shutdown but FEMA, TSA, the Coast Guard and others in DHS will not be funded and about 75% of the rest of the government will shut down.

What the hell does this mean?? Did Walz agree to help them?

"The guidance states that ICE has been getting more cooperation from state and local officials in Minnesota, and that the agency could have more opportunities to pick up immigrants released on parole or probation."

THIS THIS THIS!

"Well we already gave them the money"

OK?! And?! Take it back! You literally control the purse, that's your job!
Not only should Democrats refuse to fund DHS, they should try to claw back the monies already appropriated for ICE

This is when pathetic becomes dangerous. The US DNI, who is supposed to be protecting the country from all sort of nasty things, is spending time fulfilling the twisted delusions of a president who can’t concede a 5-yr-old election in a state whose vote was twice audited. Now they’ll make stuff up

Possibly the only sports column I will ever repost or care about, but I endorse it 100%
"Now it’s time for our rich sports owners to take the baton," writes columnist Jim Souhan.

"Shut it all down until it’s safe for every Minnesotan to drive to a sports venue without being rammed, beaten, abducted or killed."
Souhan: What good are sports in times like these?
Local owners should be making a statement. Better yet, they should be taking action.

I need Senate staffers to start revolting internally, because how the fuck do you think any of that is getting enforced?
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

Why is Tulsi Gabbard, the top intelligence officer in the USG, with the FBI on a raid related to conspiracy theories about the 2020 election. The congressional intelligence committee ought to ask about this.

You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

An extraordinary document. Read it.

“Attached to this order is an appendix that identifies 96 court orders that ICE has violated in 74 cases. … ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.”
