ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

At least 11 congressmen from 1865-1871 were arguably not citizens under Trump's interpretation of 14th A, our research finds. Yet no one challenged their eligibility to serve. Why not? Obviously, b/c no one who drafted or ratified the 14th A shared Trump's view.

On DOGE’s watch, federal spending did not go down at all. It went up. But is still led to cuts that closed offices, canceled programs and deprived people of food, medicine and other aid.

Rick Steves is a mensch, no question, and I get the feels from acts of generosity and compassion like this. But it would be better to live under a government that provides bare subsistence to those in need. Until then, I'm grateful for the Rick Steves of the world.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Why do some ZIP codes start with zero? Did they use to be four digits, and then they ran out? It's such a weird thing. Obviously, they did not anticipate the digital age.

Lutnick's explanation here is...actually helpful. He explains that Trump sees a percent price cut the same way he sees a percent price increase. Sure, that's not how percents work, and Trump's framing is deceptive, but his minions trying to make it make sense is useful information. About them.
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

I think this point is critical: The problem is not that the electorate has treated Trump as special. The problem is they treat him too much as the same as any nominee. His unique attributes have induced some realignment, but those gains and losses have largely evened out.
