This is a feckless, delayed, and disappointing statement from Minnesota’s business leaders.

ICE has been kidnapping and terrorizing their employees and local customers for 6+ weeks. Where’s the leadership?!
INBOX: 60+ CEOs of Minnesota-based company call for "an immediate deescalation of tensions and for state, local and federal officials to work together to find real solutions."

No mention of ICE in the letter.

That's the story of what Twin Cities residents have been doing in the last few weeks. That's it. Full stop.

One thing that might get a little overlooked here is how important it is that DHS is massively exaggerating arrest totals (10k??). What people on the ground know is that immigration enforcement is barely occurring, and ICE/DHS are really conducting a terror campaign in the guise of enforcement.

50,000 Minnesotans marching downtown in subzero weather.

Thousands more patrolling the streets, delivering groceries, and caring for families.

Faith leaders getting arrested by the dozens in acts of civil disobedience.

This is Minnesota. We stand together.

Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

Impossible to describe what a raw nerve the rapid response channels are when you’re NOT on patrol. ICE sighted everywhere, all over the neighborhood. Silence and then swarming.

This is not an immigration agency, it is not a law-enforcement agency. It is a state-sponsored terror agency.

I stop to honor the Minnesota First’s great sacrifice for liberty every time I visit the capitol rotunda.

We’re not giving this flag back. Ever.
A good time to remind everyone of the Minnesota First. One of the earliest state militias to volunteer to fight in the Civil War—three years after joining the Union! Provided one of the essential turning points at Gettysburg. Took the flag of the Virginia regiment they captured AND STILL HAVE IT.

The bus between my house and downtown has been less than half-full all week.
I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.
January 16, 2026 at 10:56 PM
Regular Minnesotans are doing this because we’re good neighbors and decent people. Not “paid protesters.”
Regular people are, at a moment’s notice, dropping everything to go watch armed masked goons. They blow whistles to notify other neighbors to come out of their homes and record what is happening and get the vulnerable inside. ICE hates it because they don’t want people to know what they are doing.

If you’re in the Twin Cities and want to do the most minimal thing to annoy ICE, drive the fucking speed limit. These goons get so angry when 20 is plenty.

📣 DID YOU KNOW? 🚁

Ongoing aerial surveillance and "crowd monitoring" by the MN State Patrol in coordination with the MPD is shared directly with federal forces, including DHS & ICE, with no local oversight.

Here's what that means, and what we our state and local officials must do about it NOW.

Your ability to take paid time off to recover from illness or injury or childbirth shouldn't depend on where you live.
Minnesota just launched our statewide paid leave program.

Starting today new parents, small business owners, and people recovering from illness or injury will have the security to take needed time off work without risking their paycheck.
