… does Party Affairs typically give campaign advertising advice to non-endorsed candidates?
On May 22, Madore received an email from Laurie Aho, the Deputy Director of Training and Party Affairs at the Minnesota DFL, telling her "there's nothing in our constitution or rules saying you can't put 'DFL' on the campaign's lawn signs - only that you are not authorized to use the logo without an endorsement (or, of course, to say 'endorsed' or 'supported', as you already mentioned)." Aho also added that "depending on the constituency in the ward though, which I understand is a lot of students, it may be more productive to say something like 'progressive candidate for ward 2' or something of the sort."

Here was an idea I had for park board districts during the last cycle. We could use that as a starting place 😈
A map of proposed park districts for Minneapolis. District 1 encompasses the city to the northeast of the river. District 2 would be the north side of Minneapolis. District 3 would be downtown, just south of Loring Park, and parts of Cedar Riverside. District 4 would be the lakes and southwestern edge o the city. District 5 would be uptown, Whittier, and Kingfield areas. And District 6 would be the remainder (southeastern Minneapolis).

Here’s my beef with slick spin like this: if I get 3 donations—two $20 donations from individuals, and one donation of $3M from a chamber of commerce—I can still say with a straight face that “most” of my donations came from individuals.
All of Mpls Executive Director Jacob Hill said their average donation is $421, and most of his PAC's donors are from people, businesses, civic organizations and labor unions based in Minneapolis and neighboring communities.

I'm sorry but if you published a paper analyzing voters and this was your demographics section, you'd never get published. And if you turned it in as a college paper, you'd be docked points for such an inept and oversimplified description.

Shocking and offensive that the co-president of the National Association of Black Journalists Minnesota thinks that we should lock public information behind a paywall.

Throw the whole profession in the dumpster.
We can fix this without locking out journalists, watchdog groups, law enforcement or the general public. One approach: tiered access. Basic docket information such as case numbers, dates and outcomes could remain public online, but sensitive documents and full court orders could require users to create accounts, log in, and, in some cases, pay a nominal fee to access.
