Today is my youngest kid’s 24th birthday. I’m not sure how that happened. Has there really been that many years gone by? It doesn’t feel like I have enough memories in my head to fill all that time.

I have had a lazy morning of a sleep in followed by scrambled eggs cooked by my eldest, birthday scones baked by my middle kid, and a pot of tea. If I’d had half a brain I’d have cancelled my work shift this afternoon and given myself the whole day off. But I didn’t. Oh well.
