If nothing else, if not for the AV Club's Random Roles, there's a decent chance we'd never have had the opportunity for Curtis Armstrong to tell his story about working on the Gary Busey film "Quigley".
AV Club: Yeah, sorry for dragging this one up. But this was a movie where you appeared alongside Gary Busey, who plays a software tycoon who dies and is reincarnated as a dog. Busey’s such a weirdo force-of-nature that we have to ask about working with him Curtis Armstrong: It was just what you’d imagine. That’s about the best way to put it. We were shooting this movie—which is a horrible movie—and he was supposed to come back from the dead. And he of course, Gary Busey, supposedly had done this—he’d been in an accident and died and came back. He showed up on a set made to look like Heaven, and he looked around and said, “I can’t play this scene.” They were three days behind at this point. But Busey said, “It’s nothing like this. I’ve been to Heaven and it doesn’t look like this. That sofa’s all wrong. That mirror is ridiculous. They don’t even have mirrors!” It was ridiculous. He was completely nuts about the design of Heaven. But then on top of it, one of the guys playing an angel, had also died and come back. And this guy got into an argument with Busey about the way Heaven looked! The two of them wound up coming to blows and they had to send everybody home. So there you go. That’s what we were working with.

I like to imagine that there is a rivalry between two top ham-sniffers: one, a meticulous keeper of precise traditions, the other a brash bad-boy with a colossal nose.

By the way, I do not mean to imply that you have to skip any episodes of Farscape, but I partly did the selective-ish episode guide for folks that might wanna decide quicklike. In any case, there’s no wrong way to watch Farscape, the only wrong choice is not watching Farscape.

Get in loser, we're going west to diminish
On the far Western shore of Middle Earth rests the Grey Havens, One of the last bastions of the elves in this world. This is Círdan the Shipbuilder's domain. For years now he has fashioned the vessels that will take the remaining Noldor and Sindar to the undying lands of Valinor, in Arman, hidden from the mortal realm at the end of the Third Age but for those who take the ships from this harbor (the only two exceptions to this being Gimli and Legolas, and Samwise, both many years from now). One of the great ships sits at a beautiful dock: Galadriel and Celeborn stand in front of Círdan, watching as Elrond gestures to an elderly Bilbo Baggins to board. Gandalf will join them and Frodo also, after a tearful goodbye. They will sail into the sea and soon join the Valar and Mayar and all the rest of the Elves. Frodo and Bilbo's time there will feel so short, mortals in a timeless realm, but it will be peaceful and joyous and filled with food and drink and song and harmony, and be a fitting resting place for the ring bearers. And Gimli of course, the one exception to a non-Elf ring bearer granted amnesty in Valinor, because unlike the movies, in the books he is the poet and chief moral officer of the third age, and brought peace between the two long rivaled races.

This might be the greatest insight about anxiety I've learned and is such a fantastic point here—that fighting anxiety makes it worse! It can be really hard to sit with it, but meditation has taught me that making friends with your emotions makes a huge difference in life

Understanding fight-flight helped a lot. Not a therapist, but iirc:

- Anxiety is part of your lizard brain, so don't fight it, because it's faster than your thoughts
- (!!) It's trying to protect you from a threat
- Panic is you thinking the anxiety IS the threat
- Thank it and sit with it instead
