I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Spider-Man backpack.

A five year old with a Spider-Man backpack.

Peter Parker would be absolutely beside himself.
This is who federal agents are ripping out of their communities and shipping across the country. This is the danger we're being protected from.

There are Greenland sharks swimming around right now that are older than the Signing of the US Declaration of Independence.

Yes I know the world might have problems, but the REAL tragedy* is that Uggi didn't get any ham this morning.

*according to Uggi
He also stopped at Hlöllabátar, of course. But it was still closed.

About Greenland he says: "They have a choice. You can say yes and we will be very appreciative. Or you can say no and we will remember."

Well, that is a weight lifted from one small island nation in the Northern-Atlantic that did not want to find itself in a war zone between Europe and the U.S.
I'm listening to Trump at Davos and he said the US stock market took a large dip because of Iceland. "Iceland has already cost us a lot of money". What is he talking about??

Mark Carney's speech is now only the second most acute analysis of where the world is at right now:

Canadian PM Mark Carney delivered a pretty incredible speech in Davos. It's a vision for a way forward for smaller nations, in a world where the U.S. can no longer be counted on as an ally.

Watch it. Something tells me it might be one of those speeches that we'll read about in history books.

"WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED" anti-trans campaigners shout, while appearing on the front page of every single newspaper and interviewed on all major news platforms in the country repeatedly for the past 10 years. Pretty sure you have the wrong definition of 'silenced', but okay.

I wrote 2.800 words. Take that, universe.
I did it! I wrote 1.642 words today 😭

Tomorrow I'm going to write 2.000. Putting it here so someone can hold me accountable.
This week I'm picking up the novel I started writing in October and then had to lay aside until now. It's SO HARD to get back into, but yesterday I wrote 500 words and today I wrote 1.000 and on Monday I am going to write 1.500.

Putting this here so someone can hold me accountable.

ég hata þessa auglýsingu frá krabbameinsfélaginu um að konur geri miklu sársaukafyllri hluti en að fara í krabbameinsskoðun.

þau hefðu getað lagað viðhorfið sitt, viðurkennt að þetta er sársaukafullt og gefið verkjalyf, uppfært úreltan tækjabúnað. en nei skulum frekar shame-a.
