Found this Ultraman Jack Mego figure on the shelves of the local B&M. Took it to the checkout, they couldn't scan it, doesn't even exist on their system, and the manager had no idea how it got there. So they said I could just have it for free. Merry Christmas!

How do the Gremlins know the words to Heigh-Ho (Off To Work We Go) from Snow White?

The answer may lie in the mogwai's unusual reproductive method, which most closely resembles a form of asexual "budding" most commonly found in plant life.

If you want to celebrate Serling's birthday, his 1964 take on Dickens - Carol For Another Christmas - is an interesting watch. Takes the familiar Scrooge set-up and uses it for a satirical anti-isolationist parable produced to promote the United Nations.

Who's played that 2D retro Terminator game? I kinda want to give it a go over the holidays, but also do not have the time or energy for a game with 1980s difficulty. Is it relatively easy to complete? I'm more interested in how it adapts/expands the movie than in any real arcade challenge.

Inspired by movies such as The Wicker Man & the works of M.R. James, with a little pinch of Twin Peaks and Lovecraft - our folk horror adventure is the perfect play for Christmas!

Thinking about anyone who is struggling at this time of year, including those who are grieving, remembering time past. These days, stretched out like they are, can feel particularly jarring (I remember it well) which chimes with this piece I wrote for Xmas 2021. Posting now for anyone who needs it:
As a widow, I know the strangeness of grief and that ghosts come in many forms | Kat Lister
An old voicemail or credit card can conjure memories of my husband, blurring the line between ‘now’ and ‘then’, says author Kat Lister
