Alright as promised to @floregonian.com, here’s the finished shawl FINALLY not pinned to carpet. I’m very very pleased with how it came out.

ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

SEATTLE!!!
There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

Go. Check. Your. Ballot.

Oh this is FASCINATING I didn’t even think about that.
If this exploded and killed someone they'd be casualties of WW2 which makes me wonder who the latest casualty of WW2 is and what killed them?

I'd guess French farmer ploughing a field

The last annual review concluded the SS Richard Montgomery was perfectly safe!

And as a demonstration of exactly how safe it is it also banned aircraft from flying anywhere near it in case, y'know, the wreck spontaneously makes itself a lot safer in a manner incompatible with continued aviation...

Have I sailed as close as you are legally allowed to do to have a nose at the SS Montgomery?

Of course.

Moment I knew she existed, I was out there faster than Jay Hulme when he spots a rickety ladder in a church.

Here she is:

Yes I do and I’m obsessed with the concept. 🤣
yes yes we all know about the Edmund Fitzgerald, rest her soul, but did you know about the ship laden with explosives that sank in the mouth of the Thames in 1944 and could explode at any minute and which attempts to disarm keep failing

MY TIME HAS COME.

I also have two armless ones.

It’s never gonna be a serious threat in part because not every Democrat actually needs to be primaried.

For example, you can pry Oregon’s Senate delegation out of our cold dead hands.
“primary every democrat” only becomes a serious threat if bsky doesn’t go goo goo babies over platner-esque candidates

My dad got hit by a deer once. It’s absolutely accurate that they can and do hit cars.
Sometimes I tell ppl the story of how a deer hit my sister’s car when she was 16 and flipped her into a ditch and now she’s scared of driving and you can always tell who grew up in the city because they’ll go “don’t you mean SHE hit the deer?”

no I do not
"Oh wow a deer so graceful so beautiful" a person with minimal personal experience with deer which are expensive car seeking missiles that your neighbors feed because 'there'll be a monster buck next year'

Jesus FUCKING Christ.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

Having leaders of both chambers be from the same state is a mistake.

Doubly so given that they’re both from NY.

I don’t believe Oregon caucuses, but they DO have closed primaries. If you want to vote in a primary, you gotta be registered as a Dem.

(That said we aren’t gonna do that to Merkley he is a good egg)
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

It all sucks! But the people who are your enemies are in the WH, not the people who are just trying to fucking survive. There's nothing wrong with a civil servant being desperate to get back to work and get their backpay. Check your fucking fire.

This is a shit sandwich, and there are no good answers in a shit sandwich. You fund foodstamps, congratulations, 22m people now don't have health insurance. You bring civil servants back, and Vought has the ability to do it all again.

Our delegation is the bees knees.

Except Bentz. We don’t talk about him.

(Though to be fair he DOES largely represent the values of his district and thus also passes this test even though he’s a dillweed and needs to be gerrymandered out of existence)

Glad to see Merkley gets the “keep this one” sign off or we were gonna have Words. 🤣🤣🤣

(The Oregon Senate delegation is probably as good as it gets right now TBH)
7. Jeff Merkley. He's fine. Leave him.

8. Jon Ossoff. Do not like that he was involved behind the scenes! Biggest risk by far in terms of losing a seat if primaried, though.

9. Gary Peters. Retiring. Ugh.

10. Jack Reed. Do you ever hear Jack Reed's name? No? Me neither. Could be worse.

So moderate Dems, likely without the approval of leadership or the rest of the caucus, hung Americans out to dry on healthcare, and there’s no guarantee the House will even take their bill up. Do I have that right?
