My brain is so stupid. Been trying to write for days & of course the thing that gets me started is knowing I have to bundle up & go out to a meeting & then to the solidarity rally with communities targeted by ICE/DHS/Border Patrol (2pm outside the state house in #PVD)

I think about this all the time for, uh, reasons
Is it possible that the reason we struggle to create a world that prioritizes the health and safety of every child is directly related to most adults (and parents) being formerly unprotected children, conditioned to make excuses, or be grateful for, the abuse and neglect they endured in childhood?

The @interruptcrim Block It! Don’t Build It! Don’t Fill It! Don’t Fuel It! toolkit is also a great source of actions you can take and organizing you can join or be inspired by to throw sand in ICE’s gears even if you can’t be in the streets

Another reason why blocking data centers in your area is fun & necessary! Cursory poking around suggest that you might find blocking the data centers an easier sell locally than blocking the gas projects (which claim to create jobs & often come down to FERC permitting which is rubber-stamp)

A truly delightful weaponization of 'did you even read the article?' but it's also a nod to the way everything has to be monetized right now, to the struggle so many media publications are having to stay alive and to keep doing essential, challenging work. I have so many thoughts about this!

A fantastic read from @sarahjeong.bsky.social on what it's like to be gassed and the violence in the streets right now. On a meta level, I also love the framing; the title and card make it look like just another product buying guide, but it is very much not that.
Best gas masks

With rent coming due on Sunday, and still no eviction moratorium in Minnesota (BOOO), today is a good day to donate to any of the rent funds or crowdfunding campaigns for rent support listed here:

How about sommmmmme....RENT MONEY
From a friend who works at an MPS school with hundreds of families in hiding:

"The thing REALLY needed is money for rent/utilities/cell phone bills. It looks like there is a lot of money raised but across 5 schools it’s not enough with February rent coming due."

New York, call Schumer at (202) 224-6542 and tell him that better rules and training will not fix this. ICE must be completely dismantled.

And if you don't live in New York, call your senator and tell them that the only sensible position is to abolish ICE and replace Schumer as minority leader.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.
