None of that, no. He said "that was a good interview" and we had brief chat. He said my Star Wars tattoo is "cool", that his wife is a big fan of Lucas' space opera, and that he only recently heard the Rebels were inspired by the Vietcong. He was real, smart, grounded, classy.
If Chris Hedges didn't tell you you're a piece of shit as he walked out the door, you got the better interview, Mr Milner. In one fell swoop, David Marr obliterated every single piece of respect I had for him. No mean feat really.
