Who reduced the minimum contribution to 3%? National
Who reduced the member tax credit from $1040 to $521? National
Who then reduced the same member tax credit from $521 to $260.72? National.

Don't believe National on Kiwisaver.

Sorry you had to wait 10 months for your cancer surgery – a politician needed to save 10 minutes getting to the airport.
$4 BILLION to save 'up to 10 minutes' during peak traffic. Fucking hell - imagine what that $4B could do for housing, education, health, etc, in Aotearoa.

"up to 10 minutes"

That's the maximum amount of time saved. Ten minutes.

How fucking WEAK are we that we cannot abide ten whole fucking minutes for the sake of the environment, road safety, etc etc?

Christ, this is a country of whiney piss babies

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

What are they doing over the ditch? They could have had a flacid Emissions Trading Scheme instead of these ridiculous, distorting subsidies. Idiots.

The 2023 IRD wealth study found that the richest 300 people in NZ pay tax on income of 9.4%, versus 28% for someone earning $80k. Luxon Govt is removing the clauses of the tax law that allowed IRD to collect the study data. They don’t want you to know. www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/...
Shielding the rich? Govt to axe info-gathering power that shed light on how much tax the rich pay
Axing the power will improve taxpayer privacy but weaken the quality of IRD policy advice.

This is unforgiveable incompetence: NZ has spent $671m to get no ferries, rather than $551m to get new ferries that would be arriving within months to replace clapped-out ferries. This sort of mismanagement should bring down a government; amazingly, it's not even the worst example of their failings
