will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other

If the tool we’re using says that two of the four highest-grossing movies in history have had no impact, that seems like a problem with the tool, not the movies. (And also, fundamentally changing the way movies are made and shown seems like a pretty marked impact on “the culture”)

I can’t get over how one directional Instagram feels…
I liked old Twitter & now BlueSky because they feel like local pubs you go into and join chats with old mates and new. Instagram feels like you are walking into the backstage at a theatre where everyone is practicing their monologues.

I love the typographical spite (or is it ignorance) that had them match the typeface for adding Trump’s name to the Kennedy Center … but in a slightly different weight, so that it’s clearly an afterthought.
