I have been perfectly happy since the switch to Tidal, the playlist transfer was pretty seamless and my literal only problem is remembering which icon to use on my phone to get to the music since I can't find the green circle anymore

tbh biking in the snow is much more pleasant than having to walk in it, especially when the town doesn't give a solitary fuck about plowing the sidewalks. if it weren't for the cars it would be fucking PLEASANT. as is, so long as the roads are always better plowed than the sidewalks, i'll take it

THIS. Warner Brothers and Disney treating comics like IP generating machines has been horrifying to watch from the outside; I can only imagine the horror show from inside the house.
I think the reason why there is such a focus on the evils of "work for hire" in comics (instead of voice acting, etc.) is that you can no longer put food on the table with comics. These characters are bringing in millions while their creators cannot pay for groceries or rent.

There are many material reasons why Netflix owning WB/HBO sucks but the pettiest one I have is they suck at distributing their own work or building up any enthusiasm. They have failed their way to the top with a strategy that doesn’t benefit the work.

Yup. The best time to go back to physical media was yesterday. The next best time is now. Go to your local resale shop, they could probably use it.
If Netflix buys WB you can say goodbye to any of that material coming to disc again unless a deal is hammered out, which feels unlikely. Time to stock up on those blu-rays…
