Intersections where there's a lot of different modes interacting have the most serious injuries/fatalities here in ABQ! Notably, the worst are along Central (intersection with San Mateo☠️), which has a lot of different modes despite piss-poor infrastructure outside of the bus and personal vehicle.
im not entirely sure this is exclusively on drivers. obviously some of it is, especially the fact that no one knows how to drive in any inclement weather condition of any kind, but our pedestrian infrastructure sucks shit in a way that there are intersections that are basically the purge

Justifying to my community that my cute bear is actually a protection charm so I don't get made fun of at the fire
A little bear figurine carved out of amber some 6,000 years ago 🐻❤️

A hole runs through the bear’s torso suggesting it was threaded on a cord, perhaps worn or carried as a protective charm.

Found in a peat bog near Słupsk, Poland, in 1887.

Every day is Transit Equity Day in Albuquerque!

In ABQ, all public transit services are free. Our Zero Fare program makes it possible for the community to connect to jobs, school, healthcare, and community, for FREE!

Bsky is in the pocket of Big Car and won't let me share my dank-ass meme about this news, but this is some lame-ass news.
Transportation bonding package passes New Mexico Senate
Senate Bill 2 would authorize up to $1.5 billion in transportation bonds to fund major state road projects.

"Centrists" are so used to knee-jerk contempt of leftists that they can't take the most obviously popular, moral, AND politically expedient course when leftists urge them to.
For the umpteenth time, Brian nails it. House Dem Leadership screwed up big last week. This isn't "I told ya so." There should be some real reflection within the Dem Caucus about the systemic error in judgement that dismissed all efforts aimed at getting them to make the right call last week.
The murder of Alex Pretti might prove to be a political turning point for the GOP. It should be a turning point for Dems, too. For the current leadership, and the consultant-industrial complex, which just fatally endangered the careers of seven members who chose to put morality last.

Abolish ICE was always the correct position, the next best correct position is to prosecute *everyone*

Today is the day. Right now hundreds of Minnesota businesses and institutions are shut down. Thousands of people are refusing to work. There’s a massive picket at the airport. Minnesota’s resistance to ICE today is changing the tenor our fight against fascism.

When people are out in the streets, be out with them should be the immediate response by anyone with conviction. Not to get all "No true scottsman" but like, if you're serious about your beliefs and convictions, fuckin get out there.

Its not even hard
I genuinely think the leftie crashout is because Will Stancil, who they perceive as a dweeby online liberal, is actually doing in real life the things they daydream about
man the clout chasers on here are really panicking about stancil lol

Society parried the ozone layer, acid rain, and Y2K back to back and instead of going "wow, parrying is badass" a lot of people went "society didn't even get hit so I guess there's no need to learn how to parry" and instantly took a thousand hits
we live in a sick society that thinks preventing problems is a waste of time and effort and hey, guess why everything sucks now
