The congratulations to our newest billionaire articles are wild. Please applaud the newest member of the class of people that wrecked your air, or your water, or your wages, or your right to walk down the street.

Wrapping paper has to be one of the products hit hardest by shrinkflation. I swear the typical roll used to have 4x more paper.

New Illustration: "We Beat 'Em Before..."

Taken from a British WW2 poster, the original features a WW1 German soldier at the top. I just swapped it for the Nazi soldier it had at the bottom.

Will absolutely not continue supporting propublica if they go down this path
1/ At bargaining yesterday, @propublica.org management said that they should have 100% discretion to replace workers with AI and would not commit to labeling future AI-generated content.

Time to jettison @firefox.com
Mozilla has a new CEO and he just announced that Firefox will evolve into a modern AI browser. This is a good example of how management doesn’t understand its own user base and why they go out of their way to install Firefox on Windows, Android, iOS and other devices blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/l...

Cory Doctorow : "We need to make tech workers unionized again ...  because tech workers that aren't working behind a keyboard, those tech workers, they're peeing in bottles or being injured at 3x the national rate in an Amazon warehouse. That's how tech bosses treat workers they're not afraid of."

for anyone interested, @hammerandhope.bsky.social ran an article on exactly this: "An organized urban wing of the railroad called vigilance committees focused on protecting, supporting, and learning from fugitives. That education went in both directions..."

Wild that the U.S. government is run by 4chan guys who think “posting through it” is the best White House comms strategy
Sabrina Carpenter ratioed the White House after it used her song in an ICE video.

The WH deleted the post…but now it’s back with a new ICE video, this time using an altered clip from Carpenter’s SNL monologue.

I know so many great people who are doing so much. If you are isolated from people who are trying their best, I can understand feeling like no one's doing anything, but really, you just need to find the people who are trying and try with them — or maybe encourage some new folks to try alongside you.
