Been about a week now of not being able to sleep much more than 3 hours at a stretch. Woke up at 3am covered in sweat and threw up for reasons unknown. Most of the time it really does feel like my body is just breaking down. How much time do I really have with it when it’s so deeply unwell? 😞

I genuinely think that trans people need to fight a bigger fight about research ethics governing our treatment. "Trans rights are human rights" is vague.
No research without consent is specific.

It's right that trans people should be able to refuse to be subjects in research being conducted with an aim of reducing their options in life, reducing their comfort and wellbeing.

Are you genuinely too thick to be aware of how many trans people's families misgender and dishonor us in death, or are you just vile and craven enough to pretend you don't know even when talking to queer people?
Do you not think it's bizarre to have strangers on the internet decide they know better than Brianna's own loved ones on what is or isn't insulting to her memory?
I've got no time for Rosie Duffield, but she turned up at a drop-in event in Parliament and that's been the limit of her involvement.

“It’s bad faith to call out an observable pattern of behavior even I recognize as real” is not a position I’m ever surprised to come across but there is something strangely refreshing about folks without the art to conceal it.

Remember when Biden dropped the COVID isolation guidelines down to just 5 days, not because of any actual medical science, but because the Delta CEO asked him to?
Our lives have always been meaningless to establishment Dems compared to the profits of the donor class.

It just makes it look like they said, oh, shit, I had to scrap my weekend at the lake house because my flight was canceled. Or worse, the airlines called and I sold out my constituents at the order of the Delta CEO. I’m no Senate whisperer but when people look at the math it isn’t great.

every time one of these wastrel losers opens their mouth to whine and wheedle that men simply naturally "need" to be the boss of women and fathers simply "need" to be the masters of the home it only further convinces me that capital-F Fathers and Fatherhood must be totally abolished as a concept.

Insurance companies make their profits by creating barriers to care. The more barriers there are, the more money they make. It’s a business run on the bureaucratic nightmare of administrative labor that keeps people from accessing healthcare.
Insurance companies aren’t just players in the fight with doctors over money; they’re also the referees.
They produce their own guidelines on when to pay claims. If a doctor appeals a denial, insurers make all the initial decisions.

This County Was the “Model” for Local Police Carrying Out Immigration Raids. It Ended in Civil Rights Violations.
Under Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County was one of the first testing grounds for ICE’s 287(g) program, which lets local police enforce immigration laws. Many Arizonans say those abuses parallel…

I went to the grocery store for the first time in a wheelchair and at the beginning I was marveling at the fact that it’s the most accessible place I’ve been to in my chair so far, until I realized that I was just benefiting from an accident of a building being made *shopping cart* accessible.

From Chicago to LA, neighborly solidarity fuels resistance to ICE
Volunteer patrols, mutual aid efforts and immigrant defenders drive the anti-fascist movement against ICE and counter the "crime-ridden" fear narratives about their cities.

People love to say that the use of rape as racial slur by conservatives against whole classes of people should delegitimize women’s anti-rape organizing. Very few people seem to see the racist “rapists” smear for what it is: a cynical undermining of feminism that claims to women as racial property.
trump's current extrajudicial deportations are constantly justified on the idea that they're going after rapists or domestic abusers and why even bother giving them a trial. her problem is courts taking *women making complaints for themselves* too seriously
