1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

Stop Cop City gave us a lot of tactics on how to get in the way of fascist infrastructure being built. Those tactics need to be utilized and expanded in the way that ICE Watch has used and greatly developed the tactics of Cop Watch.
The proposed centers are so large that some could house as many as 8,000 detainees at once, according to a DHS spreadsheet of more than 20 potential locations that was verified by NBC News. The largest federal prison in the U.S., for example, has roughly 4,000 inmates.
ICE plans to build mega warehouses for immigration detention spark growing concern
Sources at two government contractors told NBC News they were worried that new warehouses — and the large numbers of immigrants who would be housed in them — would present safety problems.

Throughout the ICE raids, local and state police who answer to Democrat politicians have consistently done the dirty work to enable ICE to continue its campaign of ethnic cleansing.

Politicians who talk about "maintaining order" are complicit in this campaign of terror.

It's up to us. Just us.

One of central strategies of anti-feminism is the effort to depict feminism as a vanity movement, a grab for more privilege, instead of a real human concern that addresses a a serious need in the world. This always paints gender oppression as a secondary problem at best.
Every argument starting with "prelapsarian precolonial non-patriarchy" always ends with "and that's why real women of <culture> don't need feminism" and I am somewhat tired of so many of you losers falling for this trick approximately six squintillion times.

Kenneth Zucker also has allegations. J. Michael Bailey had at least one infamous instance of a relationship which, while not illegal, involved a very young woman over whom he had authority. James Cantor was heavily involved with Prostasia and believes paedophilia is a sexual orientation
Gonna be honest, it did feel a bit like I had been going crazy, especially since even before any of these revelations, a lot of career transphobes were quite openly pedophilic, Germaine Greer self-described as a pederast "like all women of taste", and yet nobody seemed to see the red flags.
You’re not crazy. The anti-trans movement is not organic; it was funded by pedophilic billionaires like Jeffrey Epstein who backed a network of conservatives to accuse the same people they were sexually abusing of being the real danger. @madycast.com exposes the truth in our in-depth report.

everyone is always choosing between two equally reactionary ideas--"elite pedophile cabal" vs "CSA is an overblown hysteria that causes witch hunts any time it's even mentioned"--because they are equally anti-feminist answers to a question that only feminists can answer. and no one wants that answer

if the regime claims that their tech is unbelievably strong and effective? it's unbelievable because its bullshit meant to scare you into compliance
It’s been like this with all the facial recognition software I’ve heard of used in policing so far which is why I harp on how important it is to learn how this tech *actually* works instead of trusting fascists when they declare they have a magic tool that renders resistance futile.
NEW: Records reviewed by WIRED show DHS’s facial recognition app (Mobile Fortify) isn’t designed to actually "verify" identity—despite DHS claims and its agents relying on its matches to support probable cause in the field.

ICE and CBP’s Face-Recognition App Can’t Actually Verify Who People Are
ICE has used Mobile Fortify to identify immigrants and citizens alike over 100,000 times, by one estimate. It wasn't built to work like that—and only got approved after DHS abandoned its own privacy r...

Oop I’ve been really activated about this all morning. Was like “ah wow I get SO mad over the devaluation of feminism. I can barely breath rn” and my partner responded “yes you certainly do.. but you being a victim of CSA is probably also a part of it” and I was like “oh… yeah” and burst into tears.
Just getting more and more pissed off. It doesn’t matter how much obvious explanatory power patriarchy has, most people are avoiding mentioning with all the art they can muster. And that is the real reason shit like this happens. That’s the social investment that allows it to continue.

I've seen and heard statements each to the effect of "we should look above the victims and at the politicking going on, especially at Bannon". Which in reifying Bannon's political project above the patriarchal violence, seen as 'bourgeois degeneracy', fails to recognize the continuity between them.

The ICE killings in Minneapolis evoke Selma but the day-to-day tactics in Minneapolis remind me of the Birmingham Bus Boycott: a grinding, continuous, citywide and logistically demanding effort of non-cooperation over months to break an unjust status quo.
A manager for the Immigrant Defense Network told MPR News that back in November, 2,500 people were trained as constitutional observers. Now, the total is nearly 30,000 trained observers in 77 of Minnesota's 87 counties.

We don't just fucking spawn out of thin air if full black bloc gear anytime there's a protest
that is to say, there is no neat and universal mutual exclusion between "masked members of a black bloc" and "the local you know who is looking after their neighbour". sometimes, oftentimes even, these are the same person

The fire makes the barricade more visible, so innocent people don't crash into it, and also more difficult to move, as a good one requires the police (or ICE) to put the fire out before they start clearing the barricade.

Critique this tactic all you want, but critique it for what it actually is.

A burning dumpster is used to construct a road blockade.

Road blockades are used to limit the area in which ICE, or other enemies, can move.

This tactic is used around the world.

The goal isn't to "win hearts and minds," it's to shrink the area that ICE can operate in.

Insurrectionary feminist anarchism is such a secure home for me in a way mass movement focused anarchism never could be because it starts with acceptance that the most crucial conflicts are and will remain profoundly asymmetric, then challenges one to develop a principled response from that point.
