Huge W for the Galaxy. Huge L for NYCFC.
🇺🇸 BREAKING: The LA Galaxy are finalizing a deal to sign free agent center back Justin Haak, per sources.

Haak, 24, was one of the marquee free agents. Had a breakout 2025 season.

Galaxy now reload with Haak and Jakob Glesnes. Big winter.

I just realized that Sam M’Fin Kerr would not qualify for the HIP designation, and man you really have to try hard to make an arbitrary list of the best players in the world worthy of more money and not include her. #NWSL

If LAFC had prime Mauro with Son & Bouanga up top they'd score 120 goals.
If ___ MLS team had prime Mauro Diaz, they would win the treble in 2026

Alien and Die Hard are the two tightest scripts ever written, and both are essentially haunted house stories. Makes you think.

Also, I've had 4 martinis.

Inside of 10 minutes.

Got to assume they'll buy a real striker or two in January. I haven't heard Abou Ali talk for a couple of weeks, but wouldn't be at all surprised if he's one.

In the most MLS trade of all time, Toronto FC traded their first round draft pick to Colorado for a video analyst/assistant coach.

Colorado then used that pick to select a player already under contract at their club for 2026.

I think Dr. Sogut might’ve just crushed it in the superdraft?

Not sure about Emojong but Markovic & Aman are very highly rated by other MLS front offices and the Maryland guys are well regarded, too.
#DCU picks in #MLS Superdraft:

Rd 1, #1 (1) Nikola Markovic - D, NC State
Rd 1, #8 (8) Richie Aman - F, Washington
Rd 2, #1 (31) Isaac Emojong - M, Utah Valley
Rd 3, #1 (61) Stephane Njike - F, Maryland
Rd 3, #25 (85) Lasse Kelp - D, Maryland

With DCU taking the draft this seriously, an arrangement for the MLS2 HAS to be shortly announced. I understand we are months past the “in 48 hours” statement by Levien, but…you’d have to think it’s coming.

Pick 10 sees the Rapids take *another* striker in Mitchell Baker. I really like Baker; he's got great size and a futsal background. He's just going to be up against Diop, Donovan Phillip, and Alex Harris to get Rapids 2 minutes.

1. I haven't read Wiebe's whole screed, but it sounds like he's correct.

2. You're crazy if you think other teams aren't trying (and many succeeding) in working in the same gray areas as Miami.

3. Leagues are better if they've got a bad guy. There's a reason I hate the fucking Lakers. So I get it.
On the other site, Wiebe is trolling everyone about how Miami’s success simply boils down to their “ambition”.

Obviously he can’t broadcast it for employment reasons, but I do wonder what man of the people @mattdoyle.bsky.social says about Miami in private.
