Vikings have minus-3 passing yards through three quarters.

Last time a team won a game with negative passing yards through three quarters was 2006 (Texans and David Carr over Raiders).

The refs stopping the fourth-down play *as the ball's being handed off*, talking amongst themselves for two minutes without saying what they're talking about, then shrugging and saying "fourth down" makes you really think about what you're doing on Christmas
Third-and-5 into false start, false start, sack against a three-man rush makes you really think about what you're doing on Christmas

We came so close to two Cowboys players illegally shifting into each other in the backfield

Honestly think Marlon Humphrey got away with that PI because he didn't look stressed while he did it

And then the Lions run Mesh on fourth-and-2 for a TD.
If you're going to run Mesh with Darnell Washington as one of the crossers somebody is going down, that's just physics, not OPI

Tough INT for Bo Nix on fourth down. Obviously decided he liked the matchup with Bryant, but you'd love to see him get to the checkdown with the RB.

The good thing is the OPI stopped the holding in its tracks
Metcalf was being held! Right before Washington penalized the DB with his oaken frame.

Romo also has Jared Goff as an MVP candidate and called Kenneth Gainwell a wide receiver playing running back (he's a useful player but he's averaging 5.8 yards per reception)
Romo saying Dan Campbell's got the offense back to its 2024 heights since he took over as playcaller

Lions offense in 2025, excluding the game against a horrid Commanders D:

Before the playcaller change: 7th in EPA/play, 5th in pts/drive
After the Commanders game: 6th in EPA/play, 8th in pts/drive

The 1994 Colts had a 12-game alternating win/loss streak. Longest one I can find since 1990.

Could be intentional *safety time for the Browns here.

As a society haven't we evolved past the need for Taysom Hill

Josh Jacobs has only played two snaps since the fumble with his knee injury. So right now, Packers down their starting QB (Love), RB (Jacobs), WR2 (Doubs), TE1 (Kraft), TE3 (Fitzpatrick), C (Jenkins), and RT (Tom).

Lot of reasons to think Matt LaFleur is a really good coach but the Packers offense repeatedly looking just fine with Malik Willis stepping in over the last two years might be #1

Brady clearly impressed with the Bears pulling some Belichick stuff and turning the heaters off

beginning to think England might not win the Ashes

1) This is great, unsurprisingly
2) I want to read a version of this for every sport, NFL included

The @greggrosenthal.bsky.social rule is that if your coach says something like "We're going to look at the tape" or "Anything's on the table" or anything that isn't directly endorsing his starter on Monday, that QB's going to be benched by Friday
refresh us on what Gregg’s rule is
