Mike Jacobs confirms that Nashville have acquired Baker-Whiting.
Can confirm reports from @ELROLONW.bsky.social and @tombogert.bsky.social that Nashville are finalizing a deal to acquire Reed Baker-Whiting from the Seattle Sounders.
Baker-Whiting, 20, can play fullback or on the wings. Gives Nashville needed depth behind Lovitz and Nájar with starting potential.

The key to understanding the RBW move, is that the Sounders apparently still had room to convert more transfer money to GAM. It’s also worth remembering that the ONLY way to spend GAM is on the roster. The team can’t just pocket that money.

Based on my latest calculations, the Sounders should have somewhere between $3.3M and $3.8M in cap space/unspent GAM. They also have two open U22 spots and two open senior roster spots.

For those unfamiliar. The population in a 20-mile radius around Toyota Stadium is 2.8million. Only 11 other US MLS stadiums have larger populations in its 20-mile radius.

Necaxa have now won all three games in which Leyva went the full 90. Those 9 points are their only points so far this season
Necaxa have two wins in the clausura, both have involved 3+ goals and an opposing player getting sent off. Those two games have also been the only ones where Leyva played the full 90 minutes. Makes you think

These are pretty good numbers, especially for a 19yo.
Bronnik arrived as an option off the left wing last year, leveling up as a player that could beat opponents and create his own shot. Big move for him, and a credit to Omaha for giving young talent a chance to shine.
