The street art and flyering is so powerful its aura is attracting federal vehicles like a super magnet
NOW: At 32nd and 15th in South Minneapolis. federal agents smash up their car, leaving the car there while hopping in another vehicle, per bystanders. Reports of a person taken as well.

Look at this: @inquirer.com has digitally preserved the interpretative signage removed by NPS, and used annotations to explain what specifically was flagged before removal. This keeps the content publicly accessible (for now) while doing newsworthy reporting

Here are the signs the Trump administration removed from Independence Park
Following last year’s review, every sign has been removed from the President’s House site.

I don’t know how you see an occupying army using fort snelling as its headquarters, fort snelling, the site of a 19th century concentration camp supporting a campaign of ethnic cleansing in Minnesota, and think that we don’t need to talk history.

Time for everyone paying attention to Minnesota's General Strike to read up on Aquatennial & Bloody Friday - Minneapolis
The last general strike in Minneapolis was in 1934.

It started in May, leading to a series of small battles between strikers and police. The two sides agreed to a contract on May 25.

Employers reneged in July, and police opened fire on protesters who flooded the streets. Two died, 67 were wounded.

I know it’s being slightly semantic but i get really mad when people refer to the occupation as if it’s only happening in Minneapolis. It’s not only stupid, but erasing that this is not confined to an urban core

Trump: "MN is a very corrupt place & the elections are totally corrupt. I feel I won it all 3 times. Nobody has won it since Richard Nixon. It's a rigged state. The Somalians vote as one group even if they're not citizens. They all ought to get the hell out of here. They're bad for our country"

Taking this as an opportunity for an additional (minor & petty) complaint– I HATE how the Save Our Streets signs look like the L&B branding. For the longest time I thought bougie grocery store chain + rich peoples’ yards??? 🤡
It is so funny that the Save Our Street people in Saint Paul are having all of their meetings at the church led by a pastor whose day job is running the local ICE field office.

How pathetic would you feel if your explanation of why you shot someone was "They had a shovel"?

These guys can't even make themselves look tough when they (almost certainly) lie.

For those keeping track, ICE loot drops have now given us a flash bang and a magazine.
If you get a 30 constitutional observer raid together, I think you have a 5% chance of getting us an APC to transport whistles to coffee shops.
A single federal agent with a long gun just walked through the crowd, slipped on the ice on his way under the police tape.

Dropped his loaded clip.

I was able to drop off some coats at Arbieter Brewing last weekend— they also accept monetary donations & have online wishlists for friends further afield!
We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.
The frigid Twin Cities temperatures will hurt the homeless; so do not gloat about the impact on ICE without also stepping up here:

This is true, but I need people to understand it’s not just Minneapolis. It’s the entire metro, which is significantly larger.
What ICE/BP is doing to Minneapolis is awful.

And it's taking everything they have. By population, Minneapolis is America's 45th largest city.

Keep both in mind at once: the regime's desire for authoritarian domination is bottomless, and they'll act on it, but their capacity to do so is limited.
