Forget if I've posted it yet, but the new Chat Pile/Hayden Pedigo collab is a real treat. I was unfamiliar with Pedigo, and this is a doomy, sensitive sound for Chat Pile. It sounds like the regret you feel while hungover and checking texts to try to piece together the night before. Really good.

People say bad things about nepotism, but I kinda get it. Children get a lot of unteachable skills from their parents that allow them to exceed in the same field.
For instance: I've become really good at drinking 4-7 beers and complaining about the inferior quality of modern consumer appliances.
Christine Pelosi, daughter of Nancy Pelosi, has announced she’s running for the California State Senate.

Perhaps this will be the year when I finish an entire tube of Blistex.

The older I get, the more I love sitting down. Great feeling when you need a seat and then you find one.

I somehow got caught up in going drink-for-drink with some LiUNA guys last night and man, I wouldn't recommend that.

It would be stupid to plan a roadtrip that's just driving in all the northernmost counties of the USA all the way to the West Coast.... right?

I know some folks were asking for something like this (@meshm.bsky.social iirc) So I made a quick dot density map of the first choice Minneapolis mayoral results. This allows you to see two things that choropleth maps can't show... umn.maps.arcgis.com/apps/mapview...

I'm sorry about my posts and opinions lately. It's been over 16 months since I drove a car further away from here than Chicago and it's really messing with my whole vibe.

Elections are one tool in the democratic toolkit - yesterday it was voting, and tomorrow we will keep organizing. I am proud to have run this race with the support of @twincitiesdsa.org, and to continue building with my political home (Join DSA act.dsausa.org/s/3311.R6gRaz).

very disappointed to see michael wilson did not win for parks at large. he ran an incredible campaign and i thought he was the most exciting park board candidate with such passion and knowledge. did not expect this outcome

Disappointed about the Mayoral race. It's been hard to break through to folks when the Mayor and media align to blame some sort of nebulous "dysfunction" on problems that are clearly Frey's alone.

Well, well, well, Saint Paul.

Not so easy to elect a normal Mayor, now is it?

Just a fair warning: I'm willing to throw hands on here today over bad RCV opinions. I'm warming up, shrugging off that silk boxing robe, etc.

Would generally say that the Minneapolis outcome is on the high end of my expectations.
The right wing had a lot of money and consolidation, but progressives didn't cede much ground and there's still a real shot at the mayorship.

Actually, I don't drive the car of our nation's most famous murderer. There are a few differences in the trim packages if you look really closely. Vote for me to lead America's largest city.
