Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

Not that I would expect anything better from my employer. Haven’t even reached out to “affected employees” as of Thursday. Getting pretty difficult keeping up the facade that we can work under these conditions.

This is part of the reason we are asking media to stop calling what's happening protest. It's inaccurate (except for a few cases like Friday, Whipple etc) and keeps things in a more "usual politics" frame
