Call them instead. Emails mean nothing. Saw Representative Massie even mention that the only thing Congress pays atten. to are phone calls. They tally up every day what constituents call in about. They get 1,000 of emails of people complaining about their mail, so they don't tally emails - too many.

@crampell.bsky.social If Ds had effective comms strategy, they’d put that FEMA fact up front, as in “we hate to do this b/c we know ppl are suffering/snowed in/etc., & we have to in order to avoid having any more innocent Americans murdered (ok, killed if you want something ‘softer’) by DHS agents.”

My experience with MSP marches so far is that they are dutiful. Most look like they’d rather be doing laundry. But someone has to do it.
Need less ‘the call to heroism has inspired me to be who i was always meant to be!” narratives and more “this fucking sucks and I don’t want to be here but someone has to do it and goddamnit it looks like that’s me” narratives imo.

Not even close to fresh anymore, she’s been in the Senate since 2007, just unremarkably. If beige was a senator.
She was pretty much ok when ok was all we needed, but we need more than that now!

This piece by @jonrauch.bsky.social is very much worth reading. (Yes, I know, even if your reaction to the title is, "Gee, you don't say!") He lays out the case more carefully, clearly, and systematically than I have seen elsewhere.

Yes, It’s Fascism
Until recently, I thought it a term best avoided. But now, the resemblances are too many and too strong to deny.

In none of his appearances today did Bovino acknowledge that this was in any way regrettable or could have been prevented. Because he doesn't regret it, and he wants it to happen again. Terrorizing anyone who is trying to hold them accountable is their only play rn

I would say WTAF, but this is perfectly on brand for these people.

It's like moving a pedo priest to a different parish, but with killer Nazis.
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.

The violence and chaos from the federal government that has the Twin Cities under siege is an effort, it seems, to trigger the legal ability to neutralize the Constitution nationally.

The only thing holding it off is Minnesotans adamantly refusing to step over the line.
