me, a software engineer: *sits up straighter*
My dad is only in his early 60s, but he learned today that 40 years as a programmer has given him such a bad case of tech neck that his spinal cord is compressed and his joints are fused to the point where even a minor car accident could cause paralysis from the neck down.

came back to say I've been making mint lemonade for about a week now, and I am hooked.
Mint with chocolate is bad but mint with lemon is a God-tier flavor combination.

YES YES YES YES YES welcome β€˜em back welcome β€˜em in we’ve all been dummies about something
It's actually a good thing that previously apolitical normies are finally getting angry and starting to speak out. We need the numbers in the streets and at the polls.

If your response to them is "no, fuck you, too late," then you don't actually care about stopping Trump. You're just preening.

Our Heated Rivalry fans probably already picked up on this but:
Yes, Shane Hollander, the Canadian hockey star played by Hudson Williams in the popular romance streaming series, is autistic. (Even though they never say so outright.)

To answer why didn’t we put the hammer down on Trump, et al, for January 6 β€” it’s because the U.S. flinches when it’s time to hold power accountable for treasonous or destructive actions. Rs giving up Reconstruction to win a prez race, Ford pardoning Nixon, no trials for bankers in the 2007 crisis…
We don’t have say it’s like Nazi Germany or be surprised at presumably strong leaders who knuckle under. Selling out the masses for power or oppression is a long US tradition. Example: election of 1876, explained on a marker at the site of the Democratic convention in St. Louis (text in alt text)

I want to look at a physical menu at a restaurant.

I love sharing a meal as a communal experience, and having to take my phone out to scan a QR code and look through a website/PDF takes me away from present company in a way that is both undesirable and entirely avoidable.

The vaccine autism thing is bullshit but even if you believed it, it seems incredibly fucked up to then believe that raising child death rates is some sort of worthwhile trade-off to reduce autism rates
