Unbelievably, #DuvetKnowItsChristmas generates such good will on social media that over the years we've raised somewhere approaching a quarter of a million quid for homeless charities. If you can spare a bob or two, sling some to Centrepoint, and here's the link: www.gofundme.com/f/duvet-know...

This “family is the most important thing!” is one of those social norms my autistic brain has never understood, even before I went no contact with one of my parents. Like, it doesn’t always have to be about abuse, sometimes we just don’t like the people we’re related to and that’s fine
Yeah, no thanks.

Stop guilting people about being estranged from family members. It someone is they likely have personal reasons for being so.

The "scientific evidence" goes to a different school, you wouldn't know them

"Interesting" how this policy claims that there is no effect on trans men because they can compete with men once they start on T, does this goes against the Supreme Court ruling that sex = birth certified sex?
Bowls England claims that lawn bowls is a "gender affected sport", and states that "scientific evidence shows that gender-affirming hormone therapy in trans- women does not fully moderate the male advantage", yet fails to provide any citations.

They have now adopted an anti-trans policy:
Trans and Gender Diverse Policy - Bowls England
Trans and Gender Diverse Policy The revised Bowls England Trans and Gender Diverse Policy is a revision of the 2021 policy, made in light of the 2025 Supreme Court ruling that the definition of sex in...

One thing I wish I could explain to people is the visceral anger that trans people feel for the BBC, and the media in general, right now.

Many of us still have memories of the Daily Mail monstering Lucy Meadows, who took her own life shortly afterwards.

The BBC is now doing the same with Dr Upton.
Hi David. Generally, I agree with you, but please bear in mind that the BBC are now routinely misgendering trans people as a matter of editorial policy, and terrorising innocent people like Dr Upton.

It is institutionally rotten. I seriously doubt it can be fixed, whatever public good it still does

Many of us agree that a privatised BBC would be worse. But the BBC is institutionally rotten and would need a fundamental change of governance and a change of management - minimum - to start earning my trust.

We are way too far gone for just “holding it to account”.

Fundamental changes. Now.

Ireland has been doing fine with self-ID for years, just as other countries with self-ID have, and this is a big problem for some reason?

Not that I expect much from a paper that ran a piece about less corps doing Pride right about a story about a Terf suing a uni and not connecting the two.

Also screw the BBC for its naked agenda. It refused to carry a hugely expensive first ever YouGov survey we commissioned showing how awful trans lives in the UK have become because it was "not strong enough" but there's no piece of anti-trans hatred too petty for it to platform.
Total gaslighting. Anti-trans activist; chooses to speak in person, provoking students who want to protect trans rights; they exercise their freedom of speech to tell her she isn't wanted; she gets to speak anyway; the BBC dutifully platforms her again; and now she threatens to sue everyone.
