Good news for our railways 🚆

Northern Rail's new Yorkshire Flyer service means there's now a fast train from Leeds to Sheffield every 30 minutes, adding 30,000 extra seats a week to the line.

This a great step towards delivering the railways that our passengers deserve.

Northern Powerhouse Rail will invest billions into the North, to ensure our railways get the long overdue improvements passengers deserve.

The government has today committed to upgrade and electrify key rail links across Yorkshire, fix capacity at Leeds, and build a new Bradford station.

As Mayors, we worked with Lord Blunkett, to make the case for Yorkshire's Plan for Rail and the government has listened to us. 🚆
