I remember being in high school, cognizant I was trans but closeted. We split into groups for wellness, boys and girls came up with questions for the other sex. The boys questions were all rancid sexual things, some racist (and were thankfully nixed by the teacher)

perhaps obvious but as trans folks who spent our childhoods closeted will know, alllllllllll the pressure in the world can't change what you *are*.
If kids are allowed to express themselves too young, they might not end up growing up to be cisgender, and we think we might be able to pressure it out of them if we start early, goes the logic. We might be able to put them on the "correct natural trajectory" by inhibiting their preferred expression

I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.
