In college, i had a friend who would now and then go buy a case of PBR, stick them all in a backback, and then just wander the library at night handing them out. He would simply say "study beer" and hand you one, even if you were a complete stranger. So don't tell me angels aren't real
They should invent a library that serves beers.

He is absolutely correct, you haters. Fruit and dessert dont mix
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

40 years ago we’d have congressional hearings falsely accusing metal bands of putting backwards messages in their songs that told kids to kill themselves & now we have a planet-killing chatbot that’s all like “bet you won’t commit suicide chickenshit bitch” & the government is like here’s $5 billion

The outflow boundary interactions and resultant cell genesis on the KPAH radar in West Paducah, KY today are reminiscent of summer scans from central Florida #kywx

Soup beans, cornbread and fried green tomatoes. Venerated hillbilly staples that I won't touch to this day
Brazilians: heart of palm. Also, I’ve tried, and I can’t fuck with corn on pizza.

Chicago: the Italian beef sandwich. Why the hell would I want to eat soggy bread?
what's a traditional food of your people/culture that everyone else seems to love that you absolutely cannot stand?

for me it is vada pav. Vada is incredible, pav is fantastic, in combination they cancel each other out and become a black hole of anti-taste

walking around my NYC neighborhood last night, I kept thinking about how I just can’t shake my love for America and the people who choose to live in America. We’re worth fighting for. Part of what’s frustrating about this moment is the people in charge clearly don’t feel that way at all

Watching the Running Man and realized the penultimate battle involved two men who would later hold governorships. Have to believe this is two of many signs that we had along the way that politics and maturity of American electorate were in deep decline

Here is med school tuition in this dipshit's home state. I went to med school in my home state, with a police pension, and still came out 320k in debt. Complete moron

This is what is happening to the US scientific enterprise.
Lyft driver picked me up from UNC, turned out he was a medicinal chemistry post-doc in a building near mine, until his grant got cut last month.

Worked on novel antivirals.

The fact that the U.S. is turning inward and potentially set to decimate the science from its own space program while China is offering up its recently returned lunar samples for researchers around the world to analyze speaks volumes as to how the tides of science are going to shift.

Hate to be so cliché but Metallica at Hara Arena in April 1989, before they sold their souls to be Bob Rock's edgy pop band. So intense, so passionate. No lame ballads. No radio cuts. The Cult was a 🔥 and underrated opener.
so we did worst concert experience, what's your best concert experience?

my favourites so far have been gwar (saw em 2-3x before dave brockie died), and pixies (shockingly without kim deal, they were still great despite zero stage presence. they're my fave tho so maybe I'm biased)

Outstanding app. Very impressed with the layout and information density in such a compact package
Putting a plug out there for an incredible weather app (EverythingWx) that was developed by Cory Mottice (Warning Coordination Meteorologist at NWS Corpus Christi)
