The WSJ relies on rich businesspeople for whom journalistic credibility matters (ignoring the opinion section), the NY Post doesn’t.
i find it interesting that the NY Post, supposedly an edgy newspaper that is willing to tell hard truths, just swallows the administration's lies whole

This cross-pollination IS how new ideas happen. EVERY field needs humanistic thinking, that's why they call PhDs "Doctors of Philosophy"

what if I told you that taking accountability for your actions was traditionally considered a load-bearing feature of masculinity?
“I voted for none of this."

Prominent influencers, including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Schulz, are starting to distance themselves from the president they helped propel to the White House.

There’s few things that people respect less than a person who clearly is trying to hold onto power in the dark times, not because they believe they are good at leading in the dark times, but mostly so that they can have a chance to be in charge if/when the good times come back.
once again, i'll suggest that perhaps the reason the broad public thinks democrats are weak is that when confronted with situations that demands that democrats loudly and proactively stand up for their values, democrats shirk from the fight

I’m sure that many in Democratic leadership are yearning to have a chance to be the leaders in a Dem trifecta, and think *they* can do the most good in that potential future. But that ain’t the game these days, and you can’t just play safe until the Good Times come back.

I think this is kind of a weird position because the reason Mamdani is able to have such great message discipline (which is true, he does!) is *because he has a specific ideology that he believes in*.
If Dems want lessons from Mamdani applicable across the country “it’s less about the ideology, and more about the message discipline of focusing on what people care about and the tactical wisdom of getting out there and talking to everybody,” Pete Buttigieg says on NPR.

Same thing happened with the Iraq War! So many savvy Responsible Adults later admitted it was a huge tragic mistake, but that somehow they were still right for supporting it when they did. Who did they still think WAS wrong, though? Those dumb filthy hippies who opposed it too early!
It is pretty noticeable that even as mainstream opinion on Israel and Gaza finally shifts, you don’t hear the Responsible Adults apologizing for punishing all the college kids protesting the atrocities. Quite the opposite in fact!

Hulk Hogan truly was the real America: an icon you were dutifully instructed to adore as a child and then every single piece of information about what he was, what he did, and what he thought about things made you hate him more and more, and in a way, yourself for falling for it.
