Trump offering states a "deal" like the higher ed compact that would vastly and unconstitutionally expand the federal government's powers (in this case, over election administration)

My kids, aged 10 and under, didn't get me anything for Christmas this year—which is totally fine, I don't need anything from them! But thinking they might enjoy wrapping up something for me, I gave them a small gift to give me. They lost it. Which I guess means they gave me -1 Christmas gifts.
