This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Just remembered this one: Long ago I saw a guy in black jeans and black leather jacket at a book event and said to a friend "Look it's 'Guy From The Strokes Accused Of Trying To Look Like Guy From The Strokes'"

Later learned from a very excited cashier that it was, in fact, the guy from the Strokes

Can you confirm that he's a horrifically scarred genius who lives on a subterranean lake beneath the NYSE and wears a half-mask to conceal his face, emerging only to claim the occasional apprentice?

As we just teased on the air, the identity of the #MysteryBroker will be revealed tomorrow when he joins me on CNBC's Closing Bell at 3pm Eastern. He'll be offering a fairly provocative market outlook as well.

Here's some background on this source, whom I've quoted since 2009.
The story behind the savvy 'Mystery Broker' and where he sees the market going now
The history of the canny and clear-thinking financial advisor who has come to be known in print and on Twitter as the Mystery Broker.

When I was young I ascribed to a then-common belief that nothing was worse than hipocrisy and so it was somehow better to be an honest asshole than to espouse standards that you failed to 100% live up to. I was very wrong about this.
This, combined with "vice signaling" (taking pride in antisocial behavior) has given us the reign of the Stupid Asshole, something most people are against, but can only be remedied if we're not too polite to talk about it
An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

Just opened a 14 page brief in Adobe Acrobat and it gave me a popup saying "this appears to be a long document, would you like an AI summary?" and I feel like a whole bunch of Gen Z lawyers are gonna lose their licenses if law schools don't warn them about this shit.

This is gonna be some bullshit right? Like "the ancient Greeks didn't see 'blue'... and they never felt blue either!"
A common assumption is that throughout history, people have experienced the same basic range of emotions. A radical field of history now challenges this assumption, Gal Beckerman reports. theatln.tc/KD2QRX9Y

It's kind of weird how some creators go to such great lengths to defend Gen AI but then say "it's just a tool." If I had a special high tech scissors that was "just a tool" but the company had stolen from all my friends and peers and also cut wrong 20% of the time, I would just use plain scissors.
