Last week, my legislation to strengthen employment programs for veterans passed the Senate! Now I am working to get it signed into law. It would ensure the VA can more efficiently connect veterans with the career resources they need to succeed in civilian life.
Our veterans deserve nothing less.

This is a dereliction of our duty to give veterans the best care available. As someone who worked at the VA, I know we need real solutions—not additional cuts where veterans and VA workers pay the price.

When I heard Jackie, a Portland mom, & her four kids had gone missing after a visit to the Canadian border, I jumped in a car to find them. It is thanks to all our collective voices that she is free today from federal immigration custody—but this never should have happened in the first place.
