"Senate Dems considered a requirement banning ICE agents from polling sites as a demand in negotiating the DHS funding bill. But that was not included in their final list..."

Crazy idea: Given what Trump's said, update the "final list" to include it.

From our magazine: Donald Trump’s in the second year of a presidential stint, and his megalomaniacal unsuitability for public service is catching up with him. Off-year elections in Virginia and New Jersey have given Dems new reason to believe.
Midterm Memo: The C-Team. Maybe B-.
The Texas Democratic slate-in-progress could definitely be worse.

This is different from their creepy pick me vibe texts I get.

Update: In the past week we've learned ICE has secured property to build human warehouses in Merrimack, NH and Williamsport, MD *as well as* Surprise, AZ; Upper Bern, PA; and Tremont, PA.

Facts that bear repeating.

I remember talking to be in 2024 who were surprised I said mass deportation meant mass detention and death, of undocumented and documented migrants and citizens. There's no way to do mass deportation without it.

Of course normal Americans oppose mass deportation once they see what it looks like! It was a massive moral failing on the part of the media & democratic party not to clearly explain what mass deportation actually means. You shouldn't have been able to turn around without hearing an explainer on it
Vast camps are central to Trumpism. Stephen Miller has long been very excited about them. Backlash is another sign that opposition to Trump/Miller runs deeper than revulsion at ICE. There's real resistance to the whole ideological project of mass deportations. 4/

Truly hilarious headline from the Bezos-owned Washington Post yesterday.
