God forbid that people have confident joy and joyful confidence in the sanctuary of their Savior who died for them, as St Paul would have believers do! Need to rebuild the Holy of Holies -- and make the curtain tear-resistant this time!

Whenever I see trads use this image as some sort of automatic disparagement of liturgical reform, as OnePeterFive did just very recently, I see it as confirmation that they are the spiritual heirs of the religious leaders of Jesus' time who would keep the Kingdom of God under lock and key

Leo doesn't face any "crisis" at all. The SSPX is a tiny cult with a big mouth, that is already in an "irregular situation and imperfect communion" with Rome. He doesn't even have to do anything; by canon law, if they go ahead, they are simply excommunicating themselves. Bye Felicia

This is political repression by a fascist secret police force.

The tree of liberty thirsts.
Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.

On a pedestrian overpass above the Interstate this AM I saw nice folks in reflective vests holding up a big sign that said "THIS WILL STOP WHEN ENOUGH OF US SAY NO."

In "ruby red" (tho' maybe not so red after all!) Tarrant County!

Average citizens get it. Why doesn't the White House Press Corps?

Sometimes I think, "DHS can't be lying about ALL of these incidents, right?" Well, just about EVERY time, this is what happens:
Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel?

Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again.

And they almost shot some kids in the process.
They just blindly shot through the fucking door.

While Walmart's CEO takes a cool $27 million home in a year, the company has the gall to put up signs before Thanksgiving asking for "donations" from customers to "help our Associates have a Thanksgiving meal"
Retiring Walmart CEO Doug McMillon made $27M last year, over 930 times the median Walmart worker's salary of just $29,469.

Walmart's wages are so low that its workers are among the most likely to rely on SNAP and Medicaid to get by.

like idk, if I were an anarchist seeing how frustrated ICE and CBP have been by the spontaneous action of ordinary Minneapolitans, how their efforts have completely flipped the table of public opinion on ICE, I would maybe sit my white ass down and take notes, instead of attempting to play general
Also "normie libs being instinctive snitches" is fucking stupid bullshit, an attempt to essentialize your own preferences
