The effects of trauma also don’t just disappear.
All of my group chats are responding to Homan’s announcement by asking everyone to double down because:

1. ICE is still out there and abducting people today. We can’t trust the occupation is over until we actually see it.

2. People are going to be in an economic crisis for a very long time.

Still around 100 community reports of ICE activity around the Twin Cities today, the most of any state by far.

In case you’re wondering why so many of us aren’t quite taking Homan’s presser today at face value.

At least for now, there is no longer a legal basis for the EPA to take action on climate change.

History will see this for what it is — an embarrassing, anti-scientific backslide that will jeopardize the well-being of billions of people and countless ecosystems for centuries to come.
Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

There have been multiple abductions this morning in NE Minneapolis, Columbia Heights, and Fridley — I'll believe that there's an ICE drawdown when I see it. Until then, we're assuming that — like always — the administration is lying to us.

We keep us safe.
Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here.

Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone.

still looking for those photos of amy klobuchar on the streets standing up to ICE like we saw from jason chavez and elliott payne and doron clark, to name just a handful of electeds who are out here protecting people

I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

The list of signatories shows how it’s not just Minneapolis or Saint Paul suffering under this occupation. It’s the entire state!
Our little breweries, bookstores, garden centers, and gyms are showing more bravery standing up against ICE than the cowardly response of 3M, Target, Best Buy, etc.

Target still lets ICE roam free in their stores & stage in their parking lots, often this one at the Quarry in Mpls.

But they call the police in no time on peaceful teachers and neighbors.

Until Target calls for ICE to leave MN and congress to cut off DHS funding, we’ll keep coming back. #ICEOut

Stories about what ICE's presence in Minnesota has done to kids — something I'm seeing firsthand — are hard to read. It's unfathomable that kids have to go through this. www.startribune.com/ice-children...
Yuen: Even if ICE left tomorrow, the damage to kids is already done
“They’re all suffering,” says one Minnesota immigrant dad who has been sheltering in place with his children.

I mean, at some point it seems only reasonable and fair to ask this. It's not the first time and we waste money going to court. I'm over going around and around on this. When do we get off this fuckaroundabout? Retaliation by means of withholding essential funds is getting old.
When do we stop paying federal taxes as a state? Serious question @governorwalz.mn.gov

Still a need! 👇🏻
If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:
