One of my favorite things is how cows are so simple you can keep them from crossing the road by painting lines on it to fool them into thinking they are grates.

But sure, also thought leaders on race relations.

Racism is not just morally evil and corrupting to a functional society, it’s also just the dumbest, most simplistic worldview possible, the type of stuff that’s hard to say out loud without sounding like you’ve suffered a serious untreated brain injury

Ken Starr, immediately after being fired for his role in the coverup of sexual abuse at Baylor: I should reach out to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein

The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

I am currently, right now, dealing with my car keys not working because of a phone glitch. With no apparent fix that I can perform at home.
Ford wants you to stash it in your belt buckle, but there’s absolutely no need to be lugging around a bulky fob. Trouble is, phone-as-a-key tech could be superseded before it even gets going. www.wired.com/story/why-ar...

The note is pretty good evidence that the sandwich guy jurors carefully evaluated the legal merits of the DOJ’s case and weren’t collectively engaged in a nullification exercise.

Mookie has three rings with the dodgers and only one with the Sox.

He will be remembered a Dodger. And the enduring example of how badly a cheap ownership group can fumble a generational player.
Mookie has now played almost as many total games for the Dodgers (807) as he did for the Red Sox (815). And he's played way more playoff games for LA (70-21).

Unless he suddenly retires to join the pro bowling tour, it's gonna be clear by career's end which hat he will have on his HoF plaque. ☹️

salary caps are anti-worker especially in a system where players cannot even choose their own employer or where they live/work for up to a decade, let players negotiate their fair worth from the start & be paid what they're worth the same as every other job (and sport on the planet outside the US)
I mean, MLB needs true revenue sharing, a team salary floor, a better cap system, and the league needs to jettison owners which won't even attempt to field good teams.

Would the baseball union even *consider* negotiating player salary caps if they could achieve those aims? I, sadly, doubt it.
