if i were someone regularly appearing on ESPN from a home setup, i would:

1) commission good fakes of the art stolen from the Gardner museum in 1990
2) exclusively decorate my backdrop with those fakes
3) wait until the internet noticed this
4) never offer public comment

Drake Maye keeps on passing his tests. The Texans’ defense will be his hardest one yet. - The Boston Globe
The Patriots will have their hands full with Will Anderson Jr. and the rest of the fearsome Texans defense, but they should be up for the challenge.

And with this I can announce my next step. I will be joining Sports Illustrated to take over the Celtics On SI page. In reality, very little changes except where my work is published. I'm still doing Locked On Celtics and Locked On NBA.

This is why we celebrate the Boston Substack Party, when the patriots wrote strongly worded pamphlets about tea.

My @bostonglobe.com colleague @yabraham.bsky.social calls a thing a thing: the anti-Somali government siege on Minneapolis is rooted in bigotry against two groups the president loves to attack most: Black folks and Muslims. This is white nationalism in action. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/15/m...

Updated look at the Ranger Suárez agreement w/the Red Sox, the largest free agent commitment (5 yrs) by the team since Yoshida (yes, I know it was the posting process), and the largest guarantee ($130M) since Story in ‘22. Sox projected CBT payroll is $265-270M. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/14/s...

Though Suárez has never been a workhorse, he’s averaged 26 starts and 147 innings since moving into the rotation on a full-time basis four years ago.

Drake Maye on Mike Vrabel’s message: “There’s 24 teams at home right now. There’s 8 of us practicing and still working. He mentioned it today before practice – ‘Raise your hand who was still practicing at this time last year.’ I think Milton [Williams] was the only one. It was eye-opening.”

It makes it far less likely to me, because of the tax implications. They’re lined up to trade pitching for a bat now.

You be quiet. Your team is about to spend $50 mil a year on another right fielder. 😂

I like the signing. Mayer probably can't play everyday yet, though. Easy out against lefties, even in the minors.

The highest compliment I can pay Ranger Suárez is I can't remember a single instance of a local fan trashing him. I can think of maybe four other Philadelphia athletes who played here as long as Ranger did who I can say that about.
