It’s especially striking on the nights when Jaylen is a little out of sorts.
The last week or so I’ve been trying to come up with a Celtics player who I’ve found more aesthetically pleasing than Simons and really been struggling. Maybe some prime Rondo passing-wise? Ray Allen’s jump shot was beautiful but Simons is just effortlessly floating and gliding around out there.
It has been quite some time since I've enjoyed purely watching someone hoop as much as I enjoy Anfernee Simons lol

This is a really good point. And there's this: it's bad writing. Ineloquent, both-sides boosterism written before he has to hop on his private jet to play ping-pong with Shaq or whatever.
One thing about Tony D's Potemkin "Good Night and Good Luck" routine is he hasn't earned it. Cronkite said the US had lost Vietnam, but only after he'd been in the anchor chair for years. Murrow did McCarthy after covering WWII. Dokoupil has held his position a week? Why should the audience care?
