Coach of the Year?

The Patriots Mike Vrabel, who regularly signs autographs and interacts with fans, took a moment before Sunday’s game for a selfie (or, for fellow Ted Lasso fans, an “ussie”).

Then his team went out and gave the entire home crowd a 14th win to celebrate.

I am so proud of Colin and Sophie. Nothing but good people who should not have to deal with this from the president of the United States.
A must-read message from Colin and Sophie Hortman, Mark and Melissa's children:

One of the reasons the Falcons didn’t hire Bill Belichick in 2024, per me @dvnjr.bsky.social and Jeremy Fowler, is that they didn’t want to be searching for a new head coach in two years, after he’d presumably break the wins record.

Inside Bill Belichick's failed offseason job hunt
As the NFL has moved on from this year's firing-and-hiring cycle, two questions remain: Why is Bill Belichick suddenly and seemingly unemployable? And will he coach again?

Greg Olsen talked about this on the Patriots-Dolphins game and said that it should entirely be based on what the player has done this year.
The thing no one is talking about and I think is a huge deal for voters, is that this will be seen as a life time achievement award for Stafford just as much as how good he was this year. His Hall of Fame career is deserving of a MVP the narrative goes, plus Maye will get his later (plus many more).

Again: Item No. 2 is extremely relevant in the MVP race.
Two things on the Drake Maye-Matthew Stafford debate that I found for my All-Pro column this year (www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...)

1) *Three* different Pats are running otherworldly catch rates over expectation
2) Maye's been much better than Stafford against common opponents

Fresh off of recording sack No. 23 and setting the NFL’s single-season record, Jordan Brand has announced that Browns star Myles Garrett has joined them.

“It’s only right, as he set the record at 23…..a number that’s synonymous with Greatness.” — Jordan Brand

not taking away from Myles Garrett, but let's take a moment to celebrate Al "Bubba" Baker, who had 23 sacks in 1978 before sacks were an official stat.

@pro-football-reference.com ran the numbers in 2021, confirming his record. he was overjoyed to finally be acknowledged www.nfl.com/news/al-bubb...

They do a hell of a job with player development.
It just seems like every young player we get seems to get better when they get here. Must just be Celtics luck, right?

Officially hope the Celtics hang on to Anfernee Simons. He's at least trying on defense, and has Microwave potential off the bench. Seems to be a good fit chemistry-wise too.

OPINION: In retrospect, the decision to draft Jaylen Brown over Kris Dunn and Bubby Hield in the 2016 NBA Draft was a decent one, I guess.

(Just watched last night's game. Holy smokes, Jaylen.)
