Emily Heller, an eyewitness, is speaking out to set the record straight. Officers were screaming at Renee Nicole Good, “Move, move, move.”

So she moved, and they shot her multiple times? Then Noem and Trump branded her a domestic terrorist. Does everyone see how absolutely insane that sounds?

Second, and probably most importantly, it's tactically wrong. "No point discussing political opposition to fascism, there won't be elections anyway" cedes victory to your enemies. It's defeatism and nihilism.

I've been a-blockin' and a-mutin' all afternoon but I want everyone to know that I never block for this reply, though the universe gives me multiple opportunities every day. Many would block, but I have the patience of a saint. Go in peace, little one.
Sorry but you must phrase that in the form of a question.

Basic media literacy: there are multiple clips out there showing this shooting, mostly up close and unobstructed (except by the car itself). Trump’s social media post includes a clip from far away, through trees, and slowed to super slow motion.

Those are *choices*

Here’s how the Globe’s 6 Hall of Fame voters approached this year’s ballot. My 5-year streak of voting for the most candidates from our group remains intact - this year with new appreciation for a modern Dwight Evans analog, and a continued push for starters: apps.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/spor...

There is no right way or wrong way to vote. The six Globe writers who cast ballots this year offered proof of that.

When you do anything as frequently as these people lie, it’s astounding that they never get any better at it. That Malcolm Gladwell was full of shit.

Absolutely horrific details about an ICE shooting in Minneapolis.

A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times."

Bovino was there.

So few pitchers from the 2000s and after are going to get in based on older voters' current standards that it's going to completely skew HoF representation.

Johan Santana was one of the 3-5 best pitchers in MLB for eight straight seasons, won two Cys, and fell off the HoF ballot after one year!

I thought this was going to end with the old Billy Martin line about Steinbrenner.
Lol how can you tell this administration is lying to you? Because oil hasn't been shipped in actual barrels in over a century

"only when it comes to the players of *their* youth" This is an underrated problem not just with fandom, but across most cultural/political spectrums. People over value everything from their youth.

Wonder if Tom Brady will be as impatient with young players as
Raiders boss (or whatever he is) as he was as the Patriots quarterback.

One thing I've seen a lot of after Willson Contreras got traded was "he's very good with 2 outs and RISP," & he indeed was last year:

.344/.408/.563

But the year before it was

.100/.270/.200

In 23?

.327./476/.551

In 22?

.189/.362/.351

This is why it's not really seen as a repeatable skill.

Three reasons (among several) that the Celtics are one of the best teams in the East.

— Jaylen has leveled up to an MVP candidate in Year 10.

— White and Pritchard are much better players than they get credit for nationally.

— The Celtics’ player development is exceptional.
