I think this is less than a kindergartner’s concepts of how government works. It’s like the understanding of a person who’s never experienced governance even in school rules and also has never learned a tiny amount of history.
My issue is that everyone wants legislation and assumes it will just all work. It won’t. Too many vested interests. Too much need for AI to make it all work, which will scare people and make them question it more.

If you have a written path to get from here to them. Just email it to me

It’s not even a low blow. It’s factual information about the moral and ethical character of a public figure that is relevant to the American people in making their decision about who to vote for. It’s really inexcusable to have not put this out there.
I will never ever ever understand how the Biden administration had all this nuclear-level dirt on Trump and didn't pull the ripcord. You can try to explain it but it will never make sense.

bari weiss is in hot water, fielding accusations of both malice and incompetence, but it’s not too late for her to clear this whole thing up by sitting down for an honest, straightforward interview with isaac chotiner.

It’s impressive how thoroughly she lacks any courage or integrity.

Guys, the Brown shooter committing suicide before he could be apprehended is probably the most normal thing about this case. Committing a school shooting is a cousin of suicide by cop and a radical rupture with society. I figure he didn’t do it right away bc he intended to commit more violence.

everyone is 12 theory vindicated: this is exactly the kind of math concept that 7th graders struggle to learn
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

I think Twitter hold-outs are as simple as — they’ve put in a lot of Warcraft style grinding hours in to get their levels up and they refuse to go to a different website where they’ll have a lower number next to their names

The gamified psychology of discourse has always been really straightforward
These people want leftist and liberals to come back to Twitter so badly. They give all kinds of reasons, but the fact is without them the Nazi bar marinates in its own juices and they can't stand it.

Look maybe I’m excessively anxious but I don’t love the fact that a mass murderer is on the loose in New England. I hope he gets caught and that this doesn’t turn into our first serial school shooter but that’s the problem, all I can do is hope and keep going into school like normal.

Some Dems have told themselves only ~1% of the population is trans so they can dip their toe in the anti-trans filth and come out clean.

I don't have any trans family members—but it still makes me irate. I see it as a huge red flag, a sign you are unprincipled and untrustworthy. And I'm not alone.
We are parents of a trans kid and our family takes this very, very personally. If you intentionally make life harder for our beloved daughter, it’s EXTREMELY hard to think of you as an ally, to say the least. @amyklobuchar.com - you still send us requests for money, while hurting our kid. Disgusted.
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->

there is literally no high profile murder – not even this one of such a highly personal nature – that transphobic ghouls won't try to pin on trans ppl
There's no evidence that Rob and Michele Reiner's son Nick is undergoing a gender transition, despite claims circulating on social media. Here's how the baseless rumor spread. 👇

they keep emphasizing that these are on "known narcotrafficking routes" and like, those are just route-routes. there are not special ocean highways for drugs.
I'm not sure if people realize the murder strikes are taking place across a large region. It's quite staggering.

Fun(?) fact: mass shooters are more often stopped by unarmed bystanders than armed bystanders.
December 15, 2025 at 4:13 PM
this feels scary and upsetting especially because i live in the closest major city to providence and because it’s really very unusual for a mass shooter to actually try to get away with it instead of going out in a blaze of destruction- which makes me think he will try to strike again
BREAKING

The Mayor of Providence says that the person of interest in the Brown University shooting is being released.

This means the killer is still at large.

I am a teacher so it does always make me feel miffed when people act like relational work with children is a matter of pure instinct w no skill involved, or that can’t be taught. People absolutely can be taught how to be better at childrearing!

Maybe I’m not enough of a hater but I don’t think using ChatGPT to ask questions about parenting challenges is any worse than how most people get their parenting advice these days. It’s not harmful to your child to ask a question. It’s harmful to your kid to be on the phone all the time when w them

it is an underrated miracle of the 21st century that we really did massively, massively reduce bullying in schools
My experience as well. So far we're 2-for-2 on kids having a largely bullying/abuse-free middle school experience. Not without bumpy spots of course, but light years away from what I endured.

My hot take: the anti-bullying stuff has really worked, which is why conservatives are pushing back at it.
for what it’s worth I got roped into helping out with my sixth grader’s extracurricular thing so I’ve had more recent contact with middle schoolers who aren’t mine than I usually do, and biased sample/biased reviewer/etc but my verdict is that the kids are all right

A lot of suicide attempts, especially among young people, are impulsive, which means that throwing up even temporary obstacles can save lives. It's not true that everyone who gets advice on how to kill themselves from an LLM would have figured it out anyway. These tools are causing avoidable deaths.
I am a suicide attempt survivor so I’m kind of selfishly interested in prevention and, again, while it may difficult to completely prevent IDEATION, what ChatGPT does (despite guardrails!) is *cheerlead and facilitate* completion. You can come back from ideation but not a chat-optimized completion.
This is not true. This is argument that pro-gun people use to discount red flag and waiting period laws. Ease of access and lethality (let alone cheerful instruction in the best method!) is the #1 predictor of attempts leading actual completion. The more barriers, the more people live.

This is betraying a serious lack of understanding about what accommodations actually are that seems grafted from the right wing narrative of affirmative action (which I’m sure this person would reject). Accommodations are not a boost or advantage. They allow disabled people to function.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.
