Listen, the crappiest Thanksgiving food can still make a good Thanksgiving if you have good people and loving family around you. That’s why I know that Karoline Leavitt, who had her nephew’s mother detained by ICE as a favor to her brother, cannot possibly have had a good Thanksgiving.
Karoline Leavitt's Thanksgiving spread. Please dissect.

I know this week can be really hard for queer and trans folks. So if that's you, remember that I love you and you are under no obligation to hide who you are for anyone. You're perfect. And if your family can't see that, it's their loss.

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

You don’t have to like Nuzzi or approve of her conduct to understand that Lizza’s choice to publish the material that he is publishing is meant to sexually humiliate her in public in retaliation for disappointing him romantically. The term for that is revenge porn.

And almost nobody has "cancer money” of the type you need when it’s really serious
which is why I’m increasingly skeptical thinking about how the idea that wealth is protective (which it is…until it’s not) causes us to overlook how ind. wealth, not Bezos wealth but like median white wealth,
i've half-joked about how you aren't actually rich until you have "cancer money", or enough that you can pay for treatment *and* be out of work for however long *and* maintain your or your family's basic quality of life (ie, not having to liquidate core assets like your primary residence).

Fly Away Home is an exceptionally beautiful movie that I watched over and over again as a young child (I called it “big girl Amy”). Now that I’ve lost my mom it means even more to me.

Anybody got some good anti-AI graphics/propaganda posters? I might print some out and put them up in my classroom. Bonus points if they riff on historically significant imagery, since I’m a history teacher.

This is an incredible social achievement from the last sixty years. Look at how racial resentment stays steady and then starts to linearly drop in 1960. This is the culture war white supremacists have already lost, and are desperately trying to relitigate.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

I got #83 of this 500 a while back, and I'm surprised that there are still any of them left, honestly.

The book is so good I assumed they would vanish instantly. The fact that they haven't means you still have a chance to get one!
You can still get a copy of the limited special edition of THE SAINT OF BRIGHT DOORS from Inkstone btw! Signed, numbered, sprayed edges and other fancy touches. Excellent gift for the bookish people in your life (if I do say so so myself) inkstonebooks.com/product/sain...

Agreed. In my professional legal opinion, the email about Trump blowing Clinton is classic hearsay: you hear it and it's your obligation to say it to others.

Y'know, like the JD/couch thing.
The important thing is not whether the Trump performing sexual favors for Bill Clinton thing is true. The important thing is that we all pretend it’s true, and that someone asks Trump about it every day.
November 14, 2025 at 10:36 PM
see, it gets me to thinking, would trump actually care this much about stopping the release of the files if they only show that he’s a corrupt pedo (for which there is already ample evidence)? This might hit the sweet spot of unexpected and humiliating with his base that would motivate concealment
unsure if it’s true, but i’m choosing to believe in that epstein email where he implied that trump gave bill clinton head
