Prior to the ACA, some people were uninsurable. Companies would refuse to insure them because of pre-existing medical conditions.
The ACA is far from perfect, but at least it understood what the actual problems were and tried to fix them.

I have no recollection of the second of the prequel films. I know I saw it and I remember nothing about it. I can't recall a single scene from it (or rather, I can recall scenes, but can't tell you they are from that particular movie).
One of the funniest things about getting older is watching people my age succumb to nostalgia about these terrible films.

i've tried talking to chatgpt a few times (because people are always like "how do you know it sucks if you haven't tried it) and the thought I can never get over is "damn this thing does not know shit"

And it's worth noting that millions of cats and dogs world-wide are killed by cars each year. That doesn't mean that this doesn't matter, but A SINGLE DEATH doesn't mean that the technology is soulless, dangerous, and must be destroyed.
Definitely not going to excuse Waymo on this one, but for perspective: at least 50 precious human lives that we know of have been ended by Tesla's Autopilot/FSD.
Sad as it is, a dead cat is a long, long way from the biggest scandal in this technology.
