Big news: I’m working on my next book. It’s about the “Frat Pack” era of Hollywood comedies.

I’ve dreamed of writing a book about movies for years and years and now I finally get to do it. I’m so excited.
My family loves and respects me and that is why they bought me and our dog matching hoodies.

My wife got me this for Christmas. It's really good so far, but now it's time for my nap. And, at some point, I still wanna go through all these videos.

Everyone has their own holiday viewing traditions. Mine is Catch Me If You Can, one of the best movies ever about loneliness — on Christmas and the other 364 days of the year.

Merry Christmas, Carl.

I forgot to mention: One of the female leads is named Ana, and had the film revealed her last name was Conda, I would have had to give it a 10/10 score as a matter of principle. (Alas, she has a normal last name, boo.)

Not me watching Anaconda, sadly.

I am rooting for any comedy film we get these days. But Anaconda bummed me out.
‘Anaconda’ Review: A Horror of a Comedy Movie
This remake of the campy horror classic is not very funny.

Good piece. Inspired a rewatch y/d.

Taken on its own TFA is good! Ridley and Boyega are great, Driver is a solid villain. I *like* TLJ; I just wish they’d had the courage to see it through.

Rey and Ben joining forces to overthrow the Sith AND the Jedi would have been amazing.
The Force Awakens came out 10 years ago today. The reactions to the Star Wars that followed has soured a lot of people on the entire franchise. It seemed worth revisiting the movie for its 10th anniversary to see how it holds up separate from its two sequels.

The “new” Star Wars is a decade old. How does it hold up?

Trying to find something else I wrote, I stumbled across my old interview with Mel Brooks. I planned one joke, told it, and he burst out laughing. Still a top five moment of my entire career.

Thank you to the only good journalist left (Watto) for asking actor Troy Baker the tough questions: Why Indiana Jones and the Great CIRCLE did a tie-in menu at International House of PANCAKES full of French toast, a famously SQUARE food?! (around 19:30 of this video)

Feels like a slam dunk for any boutique home video label, especially if they let me record the commentary and write the booklet essay.
I have the DVD now who will be the 1 to release it in glorious 4K

I’m so sick of this debate happening year after year. It’s enough already. So let’s settle it once and for all.

Yes, Gymkata is a Christmas movie.
