the thing that’s so strange about the current american billionaire class is precisely the fact that they have chosen, as a class, to forego maximizing their own wealth in order to pursue cultural and political power, not as tools to further profit, but as the ends in themselves

Not really, it's always roulette.

You *can* get the risk level low enough that some people feel like roulette is worth it.

But fundamentally, cows' udders are just. directly underneath their poop chute. It is what it is. Even France, w rigorous raw milk standards, still has a lot of outbreaks.
Is it possible to do raw dairy safely? Not a sea lion question, I promise you.

Newly revealed court docs show that the raid was facilitated by the building owners who are now accused of using the raid to evict tenants. if the whole genocide thing wasn't enough for you, another good reason to get AIPAC money out of democratic politics is that the organization now exists to move republican donor money into democratic races to sow chaos and get the most republican-friendly democrat elected
Punchbowl has AOC quoted saying the same thing that I've been saying for the past few weeks re: AIPAC spending against pro-Israel Tom Malinowski.

“It’s quite shocking how moderate of a stance that they are mobilizing against. We’re not even talking about them targeting the left,” Ocasio-Cortez said
AIPAC’s first 2026 test
A Thursday special primary election will reveal whether Malinowski can survive a spending onslaught in a new era of anti-AIPAC sentiment among Dems.

Filth, illness, medical abuse—her child has lasting complications from being injured by a staff member.

We don't know the half of what's happening in the camps, but we know enough.

74% of Democrats support abolishing ICE, with 53% *strongly* supporting it, according to YouGov polling from last month.

Weak calls for "reform" are coming from *elected* Democrats like Chuck, not the average Democratic voter.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

The entire press corps should walk out, not come back, & we simply shouldn’t tolerate this.

Months of “Joe Biden won’t do a press conference.” A nonstop national story. Same with Harris in Aug/Sep 2024 & interviews. Trump does this stuff & everyone shrugs. It’s appalling.

Pretty wild to me how many pundits and academics treated Republican opposition to the notion of Supreme Court expansion during the Biden administration as a serious, principled stance, as opposed to a position Republicans would obviously abandon the moment it became convenient
Republicans Love Supreme Court Expansion When It Gets Them What They Want
When it comes to state supreme courts, Republican politicians have been happy to add (or subtract) justices as they see fit.
